Default Got smoked by 04 cobra :(

I was in the SS tonight (exhaust, lid, nothing major) and a silver blown cobra pulls up right next to me and starts revving. His exhaust sounded mean, but anyways we went on green (no traffic) and through first he was about a car ahead and after that he just owned me I need to start modding this thing over winter. Those cobras mean business, that was the first time I raced one with the camaro.

Put a power adder on your car and then see how it does. If it makes you feel any better. I have ruined alot of mustangs nights!

Nice death. Heads/Cam+150 Shot. You won't have to worry about MOST cobras .

Those Cobras are quick and can be modified to make close to 500 rwhp with simple bolt-ons. There is no shame in losing to one, but if I were you I'd be saving up for some mods. - just in case you run into him again.

I would just stick a big cam in there along with a 150 shot. 550 rwhp will take care of most of em especially since f-bodys have the weight advantage.

i know someone running a tci converter and a 125 running 7.6 or so in the eigth mile so with that heads then cam (depending on who does your heads) you might get out fairly cheap ( i recommend loyd elliot out of dallas for headwork he does good stuff for really good prices)

IMO, there's no shame in losing to another American muscle car. The problem comes in when the guy who won is a ******** and starts with the "Ford sucks" or the "Chevy sucks" crap. It's all fun and games win or lose until someone gets their eye poked out...errr, umm...you know what I mean.

omg omgomg fords <3 teh CHOAD jk

lol, you shouldnt need the spray w/ that 231/237 to take care of the stock and most lightly modified ones. might need the spray if you run into unit though, might need more than that

p.s. - i've been looking at that cam myself

i drove a bone stock 03 corbra.......not that fast. I would have to say maybe a pinch faster than a healthy stock ls1. I know they r monsters when modded.

A 250shot would still leave you short of horsepower.

There's a local guy who runs pretty much the same setup as me but with a 150shot! He's been though a few motors already.

Just FYI, A buddy of mine has all the bolt ons, makes 500hp and 530tq off the spray. Makes 645 hp and 785tq on just a 75 shot. He traps 128 at 6000ft elevation! These cars react violently to a little juice.
