the Mach will win from a dig till around the end of the 1/8. The LS1 has better top-end so a roll till 100+ will be good for the LS1.

From what I have seen, if both drivers are top par drivers, the LS1 should win since the LS1 driver might be able to limit/stay with the Mach 1 off the line.

Make sense?

It will be a good race stock for stock M6 vs. M5.. Auto vs. Auto I would give it to the LS1, Ford tuned the Auto Machs down from what the M5's are putting down stock.. Me personally I have never lost to a stock LS1 when I was stock, but I can also drive like a **** too.. I have ran them up to 130 and they didn't pull on me at top either.. The Machs weigh in at 3400 lbs stock and put down anywhere from 270-290+ rwhp stock.. I'm not too sure what the Camaro's weigh in at but the stock one's that I have seen put down around 295 so it will be close.. The Mach is geared a little better then the camaro so that will help out from the start..

The only business end of a Stang I've ever seen came from a Cobra. If you can drive your LS1, you can beat the Mach 1, the GT, the Bullit, etc.

The Cobra will crush you, but feel confident to step into the rest.

Does the Search function work in this section? If so, this topic has been beaten to death in many other threads.

A good friend of mine drives an '03 Mach, m5, with a few mods. I beat him every time we go a quarter. best he ever did was get a half a car length jump on me from a dig which i took back at 3rd. i've also raceda stock mach and took him too (driver wasn't all that great). so unless you're launch's need practice you shouldn't have a problem. it's not going to be a big kill, but a kill none the less

Yeah we just got the M5 but it has a mean 1st gear I wouldn't mind having a M6 but that is alot more shifting.. Don't the M6's take away more rwhp then the M5's do??? One guy I know has a T56 that he had installed in his mach and he lost about 10 or more rwhp from it..

I don't see how the T-56 could create more parasitic drivetrain loss. But then again, what the hell do I know?

I rarely get into 6th gear. It's nice on the highways though. Cobras have a 2.66 first gear. What do Mach's have?

In my last Z i beat two machs and lost to one. All of the races were really close with the decision being by half a car length to a full car length.

I lost my 1st race with a Mach. It might have something to do with him having wide bald tires, loud whining, and carrying the tires at launch...
