GTP and 2v are a good match, mod for mod. With the edge to the GTP of course.

According to this calculator, the margin of victory would be 57 feet, which translates into 3.5 lengths, so we are both wrong.

GTP is a good match for an NPI 2V. Stock for stock it has a full second to cover before it touches a PI 2V.

I wonder if it would improve performance to remove the POS 4.6 from a 2V and install a stock *** GTP motor???? LOL Blown six for the win!

That's funny, i completely demolished every single NPI GT i ever came across back when my first GTP was stone cold stock. Then i added a $30 open cone intake and raced my buddy's 01 GT manual with gears and he would never pull more than a half a car on me from a roll. From a dig i would beat him if i didn't spin. I'd easily beat auto PI 2V's too. Once i added a pulley, exhaust and tune I'd walk him by about 5 cars every time. Same with 3v's. Walked them essily as well by at least a couple cars. Once i cammed it, id pull buses on stockish 3V's snd LT1's. And would be a good race for stock LS1 Fbodies. Sometimes id win, sometimes not. I also pulled a few cars on stock G8 GT's from a roll. Keep underestimating the GTP, little fella. PI 2v's and 3V's are damn lucky that those cars didn't come intercooled from the factory.

More fantastic claims without proof. The NPI and the GTP both ran low 15's@90ish MPH. I can see close races, but no demolition. Pulley, exhaust, tune will put you at mid/high 13's@100ish. Which puts you pretty even with a gears/exhaust PI GT.

The only thing you said there that's not complete bullshit is a cammed GTP running with a stock Fbod.

You're not going to change what happened in my real world experience. And GTP's have ran 13's with nothing more than DR's and tune. And basement 14s with nothing more than a CAI on stock tires. They run mid 14's and trap 93-94 bone stock if running healthy. Personally know 3 different guys who ran those times in bone stock GTP's. Anyone that runs 15s in them can't launch them for ****, period. I once drove another friend's bone stock 97 GTP with 87 octane in the tank (probably like 5+ degrees of KR) and raped an intake/exhaust auto 95 Mustang GT by 3 lengths from a dig to over 100 mph. Because i knew how to launch it. It's all about the launch with those cars.

Here's my first cammed GTP on 225 street tires pulling buses on a bolt LT1 Formula that dynoed 281whp and ran 13.8 @ 101-102 bone stock. Notice how the GTP's torque rapes the **** out of it off the line.
