Hey you guys think the 01-02 LS1 Automatics will take a new Dodge Neon SRT 4 they trap at 102 in the 1/4 and run 14.0 in the 1/4 do you think the automatics will be able to take them on the highway from say a 60 roll or so...?

What the hell is a Neon SRT?

I have seen a stock '02 LS1 auto run a 13.0 @107, so if this Neon thing is only running 14.0 @102 I would not be worried.

yea im not im just wondering its a new neon its the SRT-4 pretty good for a neon

Since all SRT-4s are going to be manual they might be able to get a jump on the LS1 at highway speed. I don't see the LS1 losing to one over any appreciable distance. I think the SRT-4 is going to make a lot of Mustang owners cry though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I think I am gonna get onw when I pay of the camaro and the venture.It would be a great commuter and it would be great to run along side of a gt.The look on there face will be priceless <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

yea their not to bad but the A4 TA/Camaro will take it by alittle from a roll it will be close but the TA/Camaro will take it...

Even if that thing has a manual tranny. I can't see it pulling me from any speed.

Plus, you can't compare a V8 vs a turbo 4 banger(stock for stock)

PS - RamAir02TA, if turbo 4 bangers gets your rocks off, have you read about the Mitsubishi Lancer that's coming over to the states next month? It's said to have a 4.9sec 0-60 time and low 1/4 mile time. Not sure on the 1/4.

It ran 0-60 in 5.6and 14.2 through the 1/4 on car and driver. they lauched it at a high high rpm that you wont be able to do on the street or that transmission will be non existant so you polly wont see em running that quick stock on the street.

From a roll you A4 drivers should not dismiss them, turbo will be spooled and ready to go. I read an artile a while back where they dyno'd one...It made as much at the wheels as it was rated for at the crank (25x). These things will be no joke. BPU will have this car walking stock LS-1s from a roll, I promise. I have seen it allready in an old-school turbo shadow.

I will say the same that i said about the 03 cobra before they came out."It has boost from the factory and there will be alot of easy hp left in it".When they come out all they will need is a bleeder valve($2) open k&n filter($40) and a gutted cat(free) and they probably pick up 40 to 50 hp.I know that when im in my mustang i wont mess with one. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

Yea I dont know Stock Vs Stock I think us auto drivers would probly take them they would prob take the jump then we would catch them at like 110 or so if we ran 60-120 I think we would get them... I dont know anymore comments?
