reboot,
You consider a C1 cam a bolt on??? Well I guess my car is only a bolt on car too.

As far as the weight issue goes I think anywhere between 3400 to 3600lbs is about right for the f-bodies. Although I have heard of some porkers and some anorexic cars as well.

I haven't raced a Z06 yet, but would like to see how I would do. I don't mind loosing to another Chevy if that's what will happen.

Ooh, so how do you like the cam? Are you still heat cycling the springs (assuming you changed them) or are you beating on it yet? Have you dynoed your car to see what you gained?
I love my C1 cam! I gained 30 hp at 6000 rpms and about 28.5 ftlbs of torque in the bottom and top of the rpm range. It fattened up my torque curve and made it more flat. Can't say enough about that cam, now all I need is some heads and a LS6 intake ....oh and gears.

I only gained 18RWHP with the cam swap. I gained quite a bit under the curve though. My current numbers are 407 RWHP/395 RWTQ (SAE)

Wow, good numbers Reboot. She should be running strong.
Peak numbers are deceiving which is why I mentioned the effect on my torque curve because ideally you want it as flat as possible. My curve only varies about 7 ft lbs from 2800 to 5300 rpms.

You know when Ford named a version of their sports car a Bullet, it was in reference to a bb or pellet (which is more like it), just look at the hp numbers, that says it all.
If Chevy named a version of their sports car a Bullet, it would be in reference to a 30mm projectile, you know....something capable of real velocity.
Sorry, just couldn't resist after that comment.
