The only thing I can see is if that TA would have hooked up (it looked like he was sideways for a sec) it would have been game over for the Eclipse.

Hi every one. This is asian312 from Team EOS. Thanx for the compliements on the vid. Both cars are extreamly fast and no doubt this needs to be settled at the track. U can't tell on the vid, but the eclipse spun it's tires all the way down the line. That's what happens w/ street tires Regardless on the "ifs" and "what nots", the race is history and the rematch is in the making. There are a lot of things that went wrong with the eclipse, just as I'm sure things went astray w/ the T/A. That's the exciting part of racing street or strip. U got one shot. Mad props for that monster though. Been a while since I was so close and personal with a V8 burn out. Nothing quit like it!

The simple solution is to go double or nothing @ the racetrack. Race prep both cars and take it to the legal track, 1/4 mile, no holds barred.

It makes a difference that the vid shot at the end was 30 yds (150' or over 9 WS6 lengths AFTER the agreed finish) and it still was only 1 DSM-length race.

As an owner of both a mod'd 00 SS and a mod'd 92 DSM, I'd have to say the DSM won out, though. It looked as if the DSM was never behind.

Props to both! For the race AND for not killing anyone.

I especially liked the DSM going sideways on all fours... I DO love that feeling!

I can't believe there are pepole standing up near the finish line. If anything goes wrong, they're toast.

That TA is a 422 with nitrous. How fast is that Eclipse? That Eclipse has alot of work done to it and seems like its not a street driver. This should be settled at the track a 422 with nitrous is an easy 9 second car.

I'll cut and paste my response from another thread.

I personally didn't care for the video as it was 10 minutes too long with nothing interesting in that time. (edit: actually, it was good to see that the Eclipse was stripped to holy hell, had plastic windows, and was trailered while the Fbody was a real street car)

The race itself wasn't interesting because you had a street car vs. a race car that was trailored. This is as bad as a stripped, turbo'd, H22A Civic beating a lightly modded viper at the street races. Let's see the same race with a race car Fbody. =)

Tell me what advantages does a 2.0 liter motor, stand against a 422 on gas? You have twice the motor and 3.5 times the displacement. You have NO arguement here. Stop making excuses for your LS1 click and pay the man.
