99 WS6 vs CBR600 F4i
I was cruising to work the other day and it was a rare warm spring day in chicago. I have been dieing to race anything that would give a go (especially something worthy). I see a yellow F4i ahead at a stop light sitting next to a semi. I got behind the semi which i though was turning and figured i would be able to run him off the light. Unfortuneatly the jackass in the truck just left his turn signal on and the light already turned green. I darted in the other lane to see the bike already cruising so I nailed it to catch up to him. I was sitting in third gear as i cought up with him in prime power band doing about 65 or so. I looked over and jumped on it a little bit to see if he was game and he took off. He instantly jumped from my door to the front of the hood by the time i hit it. As soon as he started to pass my car completely i started to real him in nicely. I passed him and put about three cars on him by 100 when i shut it down. I had a smile ear to ear all day after that one which ended up being a all around great. It was the day before my birthday and was a good way to start things off. Now for all you people that think beating bikes is impossible I'll have you know I own a GSXR myself and know what they are capable of. I think it mihgt of been a different story if he downshifted another gear or two. I know he dropped one for sure but he still might not have been in his power band at first. Oh well I had the bottle open and my finger on the trigger just in case he started to pull on me. Its nice to know I didn't even have to use it.

Re: 99 WS6 vs CBR600 F4i
600s usually run high 10s to low 11s depending on rider ability. They are hard to launch because they are so light and have a short wheelbase, and in addition to that they don't generate much low end torque. So you either bog or wheelie. Finding that happy medium without burning up your clutch is fun. I just sold my 2001 R6, but will keep my R1. The R1 will break the back tire loose from a roll. It has way more low end torque and should be capable of 10.3s or less.
