Lost to a 5.0 Mustang last night. Raced a 5.0 lx auto with H/C combo and NX-150 shot. Said he runs like 10.8-10.9's. He was on MT drag radials and i was on Nittos. He put about a car and a half on me out of the whole do to alot of wheels spin then put another 1/2 car when i went into 2nd. After that it was even straight thru 4th gear. He beat me by 2 cars but they were put on out of the hole really then he wasnt pullin and i wasnt catching. Told him i will be back on some MT's myself soon enough.

my stock 99 SS got beat by a H/C fox from about a 30 mph roll. He had alot of stuff done to it, but all i remember was him saying stage 2-3 heads, cam blah blah blah.. He was a pry a 13.0 sec car. my vert is what 14.0?

1) The launch is the most important part of a drag race. If you get ripped out of the hole, it's a totally valid loss. Obviously you haven't drag raced very often.
2) According the the poster, the fox was in 10.8s-10.9s. That would make him... you guessed it... FASTER.
So why the hell did you post this? Just trying to hate on the Mustang I guess.

the fox and mustangs in general can be tougher with good suspension and sticky tires than with bolt ons....
nasty hawk, nice h/c setup you have, once you can get better than a 2.3 sixty foot time you oughta be well into the 11's - nice car
