Default 86 5.0 Mustang, 1/4 times?

I know a guy with an 86 5.0(first year fuel inj), and he's got some bolt ons on the thing, with gears etc. Anyways he goes to school at UTI, and dyno'd his car at 196 rwhp, yet he tries to convince everyone that he pulls 13.8 1/4's at LACR (DA regularly over 5000), I call bullshit since my LT1 went 13.9 @102 at that track with a 1.90 60' on street tires, I say he's full up ****, anyone else?

At sealevel it's entirely possible. Speed Density 5.0's haul, period.

A good running properly maintained 5.0 is physical proof that you don't have to have 300hp to run in the 13's. I've seen numerous stock-I/E 5.0's in the solid 13's.

But with that high of a DA I'd have to agree on the BS call...

BTW he did a MAF conversion the other day lol, the track is 3000 feet, but the DA gets stupidly high in any heat/humidity (its basically in the deasert), I also forgot to add car had stock suspension and like 245/15's futura's.... The fact that he wont race anyone, leads me to beleive he is full of it.

mid 14s, and at LACR 15.0...5.0s can be fast, but with nothing but bolt ons and 196 rwhp, that thing would have to be tekpro stripped down to 2500 lbs to run that number

show him your time slip and tell him that if your car runs a 13.8 you should beat me, then bet him 100$ on a race. if he declines hes lying, if he accepts, hes out 100$.

Did that already, except minus the slip and add $400, he declined.

5.0 I can understand, but check this out

I have a guy in a 91 NSX who says he runs a 13.2 here stock [Here is 5,200 ft above sealevel] and he says he wastes Camaro's all day long. He is stock with exhaust.

This is an 86 5.0 with less than 200 HP at the wheels, my old 92 camaro with 170 at the wheels went in the 16's.....

Dude, '91 NSX's are right around TPI-FBody times, so I don't see him pullin' any 4th Gens unless he's referrin' to 6ers.
