408 WS6 vs Whipple Cobra
Ran a Whipple Cobra tonight. Last time i heard about him, he was making 503whp. Tonight, he said he makes more than that now and he's on MT Drag radials. My numbers are in my sig and i'm on STREET tires.
From a 40 punch, i got very squirly and lifted going into third with him about 1/2 a car ahead of me.
From a 65 punch, i put about a 1 1/2 cars on him up to 125. I spun all the way to 100mph.
There are several videos that will pop up, but overall, i was very traction limited in all races. I think i could do MUCH better on Drag radials (they go on tomorrow)

Nice kill. Due to the weight he would need at least 550rwhp to beat you. My buddy recently thought he was gonna kill a s/c SS making over 550rwhp since he was making 650rwhp(03 Cobra) at the time. He beat him each time but it was still a very close race.

A Whipplecharged Cobra only made 500rwhp? You have to try real hard to make under 550rwhp. Maybe the car is bone stock other than the blower and he's not running much boost? Wierd.
Nice run though.

man how right you are i had a dragboat that weighed 1400lbs and a dynoed 850hp bbc (it ran 9's in the 1/4) and after a while it felt like...so what.
speed is all relative to what you are used to (like alcohol) really just a nasty selfish go-fast habit

Through stock exhaust, with fuel system upgrades (MAF/injectors) and the largest pulley offered (3.5") a Whipple'd '03/'04 should make in the 525-540rwhp range...no other mods.
On a DR's, good driving and decent air, that would equate to mid-11's in the 122-124mph range.
Nice kill!
