SRT4@15psi VS. 02 Z-28 I raced a SRT-4 on july 29th. I drive a 02 Z-28 we raced like 5 times around town. once from 20-80 me and my friend in the car thought we walked him. the next from 30-100. same thing then from 10-110?? same ******* thing. then we turn out onto the highway. i get in the left lane and keep it in first and kind wait for him to get next and do the 1,2,3 honk and go. but he punches it and am a little late because i was wating for a good start. I was at about 10 mph and he was about 2 cars ahead of me when i punched it and i wtayed with him till we hit traffic, he turned off and so did I.
We pull up to the stop sighn and i ask him he was stock. ( because one of my friends lost to a srt-4) he lauhed and said no. he said he normally runs 10.8 1/4 with 30psi. at our encounter he only was running 15 psi for some reason. I was just wondering how in the heck could i pull away from him if he runs these times. what do you think his times would be with only 15 psi?

LOL as far as I and the entire SRTforums.com has heard there is no SRT4 in the 10s yet. Fastest is mid to low 11s I believe. I think the guy was full of ****.

Sounds like the guy was bs'in the 10sec thing.
Mine would never hold 15 psi, but it is a 2003. It would always drop to about 12-13psi. With stage 1, it seemed to hold 15 sometimes (but not consistently) and would peak at 18 or so. With stg 1 and boost controller, and waste gate actuator, it peaks at 18 and holds 15. I haven't gotten it to the track yet since the latest mods, but it feels about like my SS did when it was unmodded. Also with the stage 1 alone it was only 4 tenths slower than the stock SS in the 1/4 (the reason times are so close is track altitude of 3075ft).

I haven't heard of a SRT boosting that high yet..... but just because the car stock is at 15 psi doesnt mean that he can't hand you your *** if he has a turbo swap at 15 psi. A 50 Trim T3/T4 is going to flow way more at 15psi than the TD04 Bastardized 16g at 15psi.
Still.... 30 Psi is suspect. Most of the 50 trim guys in my area will run 25-27 psi with race gas , and anywhere from 15-20'ish on DD mode. The fastest SRT in my area, one of the SRT vendors JMB, ran a 11.99 with 24psi.
Steve Anderson owns the famous yellow SRT that blew up at the track, and the video has been circled around the net... he was running 40 psi... on accident... I guess it's a good thing he wanted to blow the motor to see it's limits.
