Default 97 Mustang GT Kill Funny

Hey everyone, havent had a chance to post a kill as most of them were against ricers but finally got a decent one to post. So im heading back from a basketball game on this long two lane highway road with a speed limit of 65 mph. Im just cruising at around 55 mph in the right lane in 4th gear because i was on the phone. All of a sudden I see this green mustang GT go flying by but i really wasnt in the mood to race and was on the phone so I ignored him but when he saw me he jammed on his brakes to get next to me. I still tried to ignore him but it was some young kid (17 or 18 would be my guess) with his girlfriend and he started bucking his car next to me (it was an auto so he was mashing the pedal then slamming on the breaks). He does this for about 30 seconds so finally im pissed and hang up my phone. I downshifted to second and my car goes from sorta quiet to all out screaming and the look on the kids face was priceless. Instead of waiting for me to line right up next to him (he is about a half car length ahead) he goes WOT but the small lead does him no good. I floored it and left him in the dust like he wasnt even moving. I took it up to about 100+ mph (no traffic and nice long straight away) and i have at least 8+ cars on him (dont know if he gave up or not after a while but he was WAY back). Caught a light next to him and complimented him on his car and found out it was a 97 gt with flowmasters, the rest was stock and it was an automatic. The funny part is he asked me if my car was the 427 CI LS1??????? I started to laugh until i realized he was serious and told him no it was a stock 346 with headers and catback and that i wish it was a 427. He looked shocked and def didnt believe me but he was a nice guy and gave me the thumbs up, which i returned, and then turned off the highway for my exit. All in all it was a fun race and I still cant believe he though I had a 427!

Yeah those 96-98 GT's aren't too fast, probably a high 14 car you were just lookin at. Either way it's a mustang GT, faster than the average car, and nice kill man regardless. The 96-98 cobras are pretty quick, but probably wouldn't cause you trouble unless they had mods.

I believe that. My friend told me about this 96-98 GT he raced on the freeway that was an auto. My friend has a 99 Grand Am GT and he said he beat the GT by a car length or two. He said he was very surprised and I believe it. Those 96-98 GT's are weak, especially autos.

thats a nice kill, the guy probably didn't realize what he was getting himself into, cool that he acknowledged the loss and was a good sport about it.

96-98GT's have around 195 rwhp. Just watch out for the PI cams and intake 96-98 GT which will have more of a bite to them.

Yea he was a real good guy about it. No dirty looks or anything, we just talked for a few seconds at the light then gave each other the thumbs up and took off. I have buddies who have mustangs, one is a 90 gt with heads/cam, one is a 94 mustang gt with cam and nitrous (BOTH 5.0'S), and the third is a 03 blown cobra so ive tangled with a few healthy mustangs and have had my *** handed to me by them so i know not to under-estimate any mustang of any year.

Yeah, a long time ago I got into a highway race with a 96 or 97 GT. He had a liscence plate that said "SIMPLE GT" I had a '99 TA with Random tech y and Corsa catback, Throttlebody lid and an SY3500. That was definately no simple GT. We were dead even up to about 110 and then I started to edge him out. That was probably only because I had better aerodynamics. I don't know what that car had but it gave me a great race.
