Default ran an 01 M6 WS6

I think he said it was an 01, might have been 02. After throwing some revs in traffic we ended up side by side on a highway going 40 mph. He said he was stock, but you never really know, right? I asked him to honk it off, he honked once and took off. I was like ah ****, punched it and got the lovely downshift into second going 40 while he was already ahead and pulling. Turns out he really was stock as I went flyiiiiiing by him at the top of second, right after I saw him shift again. I know this isn't much to post about but nobody ever races me. Not like i'm that fast either, there are plenty of cars around here that could drag me, I'm sure.

Afterwards we stopped in an autozone parking lot and BS'ed, he's only had the car two weeks and plans to mod it. I think I turned him into a new tech member.

Nice kill. So a stall help our automatics on the highway from a ROLL? I have a 3500 stall and I definetely feel the power from a DIG from a ROLL I feel like it would pull harder with the stock converter.
It just might be me.

Stall definately helps from a roll. The bigger the better. Thik about what a 40 roll felt like with the stock converter. Before the converter if I spun the tires in first and forced an early upshift to second the car would bog down until getting the RPM's back up. With the converter it will start pulling hard immediately. At WOT with my 4k stall and shift points at 6500 I'm always above 5k rpm.

Thanks. It's not bad. I need some suspension, little more weight reduction and gears. Would like to run 11.6 or better in good air cam only. Next will be heads or spray, havn't decided what will come first but I have plenty of time to think about it.

Are you sure he was trying? Maybe he wasn't racing.

Just kidding. Nice kill man. I'm sure you motivated him to mod his car.

nice run. Where are you at in Indiana. I barely ever find chances to run. But then again looking at your mods I'd just be seeing tail lights.

I forgot to mention the honks thing. The next person he comes across will have to do that.

I'm from Hobart (the region, NW corner) but I live in West Lafayette for now.

If he was anywhere near my performance I would have cared a lot more about going on the first honk, of course.
