Default New car - it's an IMPORT! Can I still post here?

I know there is ONE or two people here that don't like imports. Does this mean I'm not welcome?

Here it is:

1st Kill - pretty darn borning. VW Passat 1.9TD - well they did cut me up then try and out drag me. Not really sure what happened to them as I didn't lift off till 140mph, but, ho hum.

Nah seriously, no body here knows anything about American cars as a rule. They are really rare, which is cool. I can honestly say I see more Ferrari's on the road than Fbody's

However I priase the Fbody big time, as I knew it would be quick in a straight line but it also handles the bumpy twisty B roads with ease.

Now all I need is to find some BMW's and Porsche's to beat up on.

The way some people with a turbo upgrade on their VW 1.8t and a prelude engine swap in their civic think that they'll absolutely dominate an Fbodys, you'd think they were rare here too.

Good catch man. I am glad to see F-bodies are spreading out amongst the world. It likes you got one in good shape too. Are left-hand drive cars even common over there?

Nice looking car.
What side-view mirrors are those? Eurospec?

BTW, I thought you had a TVR w/ and LS1 swap?

nah left hookers are pretty rare. There's quite a few Japanese imports (skylines/STi so on) but they're all RHD.

IMO American is the height of coolness plus they kick **** too!

nah. The TVR lumps arn't bad.

I do have this (but I blew the diff up on it recently):

1977 Triumph TR7 V8, it's only got a lil 3.5 Rover V8. But it's pretty stripped, well lets say it has electric lights and that about it.

Nice one man,but do you Poms know how to drive LS1's .Do you get to see many of the Vauxhall Monaros on the road yet.
I would love to have a C5-ZO6 or F-Body here in N.Z but can only dream. Good luck.

Monaro's are pretty damn cool. See a few out and about, but stupid GM has pulled the plug on them so, when the remaining stock is sold. that's it.

It's all their own fault though, WAY over priced. It was being compared as a cheap alternative to an M5. Come on an old fart buying an M5 for £60,000 ain't going to buy a Vauxhall no matter how much bhp it has.

As for driving - well you know getting there.

Although I have to say I am well impressed with how the Fbody handles. It's a big car (too big to get out of shape on the public roads) but boy does it grip, and stays very flat and well composed too.

As said it's a big car and you have to hussle it abit (which I like ) But it easily corners as well as my TR7. And the TR7 is better than most normal cars as it only weighs 2600lb or so, is stripped has uprated suspension and runs on semi-slick racing tyres.

You can't throw the Z around in the same manor and it doesn't change direction like the TR does. But it is one hell of a car - in every respect!

Best damned car I've ever owned, probably even driven! (And I've driven a fair few motor cars).

Very nice!!! Im glad your enjoying your purchase. People always underestimate the handling on these cars, its really not bad at all. Is this the first 4th Gen F body you've driven?
