Default Camaro SS VS Silverado SS

This happend before I found this site. Thought you guys might like the story. I was driving back to ft.rich from anchorage Alaska. when I stopped at a gas station to top off the tank. I come walking out of the station after paying for the car and there is one of those Doge hemi's next to my car. one of the guys is like "hey is dat your car man? do you think it could take a my SS truck?" I'm thinking to my self well I don't know.... but I tell the guy of course it would. He starts talking **** about how is SS is the best one in town and how every ones scared to race him. so I talk **** back. He's like fallow my friend here to my truck and we will race. So I fallow the guy to his house and he gets his truck. he lays out that the race start on the on ram to the glen hyway. So I'm fallowing the guy to the ramp and he just punches the hell out of the truck. before we are even to the end of the merging lane I have am about to ram the guy from behind and have to cross the white lines to keep from a wreck and I'm just screaming past this guy. we get to the next ramp and he's all like good run but I wasn't pushing it. we we run again and I just cream the **** out of the guy once more. he's like wow how much work have you done to that thing? he tried to call BS when I told him none but I sure proved him wrong on that one!

I was educated in south Carolina what more can I say? no really the whole sounding the word out thing kills me. I was collage level everything in 8th grade but I still cant spell for my life. if you show me 5 spellings of the same word I will choose the right one but I couldn't spell the word again 2 seconds later.nearly everyone I work with thinks I'm a collage grad and often times I have to explain what a word I used means but yet I cant spell go figure

Those Silverado SS's are bad. I love them. I wish I could afford my Z28 and a Silverado SS...as I would have both.

Must be why the spell check didn't ask to fix it? IT was already a real word..... Granted not the word I was trying to use.....

I've been seeing a lot of silverado SS's these days. What do they actually have done to them?

I've seen they run high high 14s stock at the track with good traction. Of course they can slap mangachargers and other goodies on them.

They are also full time 4 wheel drive correct? I dont know, im not very impressed with them. I had one trying to race me in the Z06, I was like wtf?? Its fast for a truck, but trying to pick on sports cars just isnt smart

I believe you can now get them in RWD only but when they first came out they were standard with AWD.

Yea i like the look of the SS's a whole lot, they just need to step their performance up to that of the lightnings. In contrast though, the lightnings need to get 4-wheel/awd. I wanted a lightning so bad but when I found out they were only rwd I was pissed, so then I went to look for an SS, and I found out that they cost an arm and a leg, so I ended up with a lincoln navigator...go figure?

The SS's really aren't fast at all. They look cool and have AWD.. well the first ones did anyways. Ive driven a few since I work at a Chevy dealer, so you know Im not talking of my ***. Duramax Diesel is the way to go!

I do believe the original intent of dumb GM was not to compete with the lightning or even the SRT-10 Pickup truck, but instead to provide a "sporty" truck that could be driven 365 days a year.
