Default 96 Lt1 - 04 Cobra

Not much to tell, but this was my first run in with a cobra
I was coming out from a turn and saw him pass by, so i causght up to him.
Came up on his side, he looked over and gave me thumbs up so i returned it too. He downshifted in first jumping it letting me know hes ready, then i down shift he looks over and signals me to go first. So im like ok i floored it from 15 barking tires i looked over he floored it when he was about at my rear bumper
and he slingshotted past me instantly. I shifted to 2nd chirped hes about 5 cars and pulling like a freakin train . He pressed the brakes when he was about 10-12 cars in front (hard to tell he was very tiny - i was in middle of 3rd ).
He waited for me at the light, told me his mods and says he owned an LT1 before . Then we ran twice again for similar results. I know i know, i justed wanted to see what would happen.
He pulled away MUCH MUCH harder than LS1s that ive raced, just wanted to know what he was pushin est hp?

Nice death. Congrats on posting up the loss.

Man, I seriously love Cobras. I raced one before I had much work done & kept a few cars back (2-3) exclusively because he couldn't really catch traction lol. He said he was putting down about 400 rwhp in his car, really nice dude. No shame in losing to one of those, the drivers are usually real respectful, too.

Thanks guys, i dont mind losing to a car with 150+ hp over mine.
I sounded better though , Didnt really like the way the cobra sounded much higher tone. I knew i was going to lose, just comparing the snake to the ls1s. I lost to 2 ls1s (1 auto very LOUD) the other 6spd never by more than 2-3 cars, and i beat one 6spd ls1 with borla by 3/4 of a car to 100. I was just blown away by the cobras power. Ill wait for the summer planning (aggressive h/c, plus 150 shot - hoping for around 520hp+ street ) not now though buffalo winters are killers considering its my daily driver.
Also having car problems now actually, trying to resolve on lt1 board.(if that wont work ill post here .

cannot win them all- i've lost to a few cobras, and smoked a few more. they haul *** up top, so you have to 60-ft them to have any chance . props for racing him, that is what i like to see

Good run. I was used to my H/C 99 SS but with the 06 Steg ported Eaton 500-530RWHP, second gear rolls in the Cobra feels almost like 1st gear in the SS, very fun stuff. Just street race them from 1st gear, it is useless in my car now.
