03 Cobra fast?
This guy in a supercharged 03 cobra wanted to race me one night after work,I thought that he would stroll me, was i wrong we raced like 3 or 4 times and i won every single time. If a supercharged cobra is this slow what is a non supercharged one like?

Unit can correct me if im wrong, because im sure he knows more about Cobras than I do. But he may have more horsepower, but he also weighs more and isnt as aerodynamic. I think the weight difference is about 250-300lbs. Also depending on where your at as far as elevation, he might not be getting as much power as others do from the S/C. Also and this is just from one of the 04's my friend bought. He dynoed 350rwhp stock and his stock car against mine at 320rwhp, i would pull slightly on him, maybe a 1/4 of a car up until we hit 5th gear. For some reason he would jsut leave me behind once we both went into 5th.

It's true though, Cobras aren't as aerodynamic.

Yah they're all slow untill you run into one lookin to blow up his motor ( the ones at are never do... ) - he's running a ported Eaton blower and a 200 shot (other mods unknown) - runs high 9's... There's also one out here in Vegas that's set up for the twisties but runs 11.0X on street tires and puts down 672 to the wheels... However, stock, they're not THAT scary... it is easy, however, to make them quite fast.

Yea thats what is was going to say, aerodynamics come into play at after 140 around that area, and this only if you raceing up to maybe 160 to w/e.

just trying to get used to the car. I recall running a 13.2 @ 111mph on
a horrible 2.4 60' on stock F1's. There's definitely some potential there
on a tire.

You guys dont think aerodynamics play a roll in the lower speeds. I would think(but could be wrong) that a more aerodynamic vehicle would have an advantage because it would have less drag. Ofcourse it would be worst at higher speeds. But i think getting a vehicle going with poor aerodynamics(not saying the cobras have poor aerodynamics)would take a bit more than one with better aerodynamics. I dont believe there is a dramatic difference, but a noticeable one.

can feel as you try to get it going. Just my opinion of course.
