Racing my friends sentra tonight
in about 45 minutes im going to race a worked '93 nissan sentra from a stop.
He claims: weight 2200lbs, 1/4 mile time is mid 13'ish, bigger turbo, cams, head, full exhaust, intake.
and my '98 z28, 6 speed, k&n fipk 2, magnaflow cat-back.
what are the odds?

HERE is WHY you WILL WIN.. FROM A DIG that is.. ON the STREET. BIGGER TURBO"S MORE MODS. MORE HP. ON A FWD Car They Dont have a Prayer For sure. if he only Runs Mid 13's at the Track . Good Luck on the Race. Let US know how it Turns out. Set ut PSI on ur tires to 20 When WARM

Ummm, he prolly has around 250 fwhp, depending on the turbo and you prolly have what, 310-330 rwhp.....hrmmm, he will win up top IF THIS IS THE CASE, from a dig I think you got him, from a roll he should take you, mid 13's at the track in a fwd car means his mph is prolly pretty sick. You should win from a dig and even odds fro ma roll i think.

bigger turbo on a SR usually means garret gt28r the infamous "disco-potatoe" (don't ask me why) amxed out it's good for about 350whp with the right tune and supporting mods. I'm guessing it might be close.

i just got home and we ran four times.
the first race was from a roll in second gear. we stayed dead even up until 4th gear, then i said goodbye to him.
second race was from a dig. i took off with a satisfactory 60 ft'r and pulled away nicely keeping him behind the whole time.
third race was another second gear roll. stayed dead even until he outshifted me for 5th, barely pulled away.
last race another second gear roll that had us head to head. Then ended at me missing 5th gear for the loss.

Good Races, my first car was a sentra so i spent a good amount of time on those boards hearing about the disco potato setup. I always said if I wasn't gonna be getting this car next I would have done that setup to the Sentra so I could be as fast as the LS1 but lucky me I got the bird.
Both nice cars, thanks for the follow-up on the races!
