Default What would happen (95 Cobra/02 WS6)

Both these cars are stock. The Cobra has 43k miles and is the 5.0 (302) Cobra, not the 4v 4.6 that came out in '96. The LS1 is a 02 WS6 with 7k miles on it. Who would win from a dig and a roll and by how much with equal drivers? Thanks

The cobra is going to get its head chopped off, then after that its going to spit down its throat by 5-6 car lengths.....hows that for a visual? i own a 94 cobra with mods and i cant bang with ls1s, let alone my car stock (94-95 same engine.car)

the 94-95 cobras were rated at 240, but dyno resuslts show its more 270 at the fly (225-232 rwhp).....thats barley close to the RWHP rating of a stock ls1. Cobras outside of the 03-04 ones arent much to really look at if your not putting a blower on them, beacuse that small 8 REALLY needs that blower, and the 5.0 ones just werent really fast to begin with.

A stock 5.0 will never be a match for an ls1. I bet all my money on the ls1.

what kind of question is this?

Stock Ls1's are like near the 300 range.

THey have upgraded heads and intakes, that is how they are not slower than a normal 5.0 more about = to one, maybe a tad faster. THe LS1 is going to PUMMEL RAPE!!!! that cobra though, Hell, tell the LS1 owner to shift at 4500rpm and i bet he still murders the car, lmao

They aren't the same motors exactly, they just have the same displacement.

i had an 89 5.0 and used to beat the 5.0 sn95 cars by 2 to 3 cars by the time the speedo was on the peg (85mph).it would stay with a stock lt1 but a ls1 6 speed would disappear from me.it had exhaust intake and 200k miles and still ran like 45k miles.now i got a ws6 ls1 weee.

Well, I know that the GT-40 heads/intake on the 95 cobra would help it, but 300+ pounds IS alot ot overcome. Besides, a fox body could just put those on their 5.0 lol. Ive been contemplating getting a cheap 5.0 to beat on.
