raced an 03 mach 1 auto, well we lined them up and i had 4 people in my car and he had 2, he honked and we took off and i didnt launch it very well and i was spinning alot, and when i caught tracking i caught right up with him and then we were about dead even and then im missed third, and then i put it back in 3rd and he was only about 2 cars ahead, then i said how about from a 30 roll, and mine he honked agian and right off the bat i had like a half car on him and then started pullin a lil more when about about 60mph and then i was bout a car or so ahead and then we ran out of room, good race plan on racing him agian when the weathers nicer

I am going to say that that was a busted mach or had a bad driver. The mach has a bit more power than the LT1 stock vs stock. Good kill though.

he only ran an 13.88 at the track and i only beat him from the roll race, and from the stop i did a shity launch and missed 3rd but was only about 2 cars behind, also race an 97 camaro Z28 that day, with about a 3,000 tranny, and exhuast, off the line on that race we were dead even and then when i shifted to 3rd i pulled on him and i got like a car on him, then we raced agian, and then i got a bad launch and spun alot and when i caught traction i was right next to him then when i shifted the 2nd i just pulled on him, we stop and talk and he blew his tranny, his torck converter when out.good race tho

oh wow, crap, im sorry, i mis-read that. Yeah, sounds about right, A4 from ford is the shittiest thing i ever heard of. My friends A4 GT felt DEAD! it OOZED between shifts, NOTHING like my TA A4...good kill, i see how it happened now, sorry.

LOL maybe he should have bought the M5 instead of the auto.. Those stock A4 ford trannys do suck though.. I had one in a GT before I bought my Mach and I couldn't stand it.. I had that car for 6 months and then got rid of it..

yeah that auto must be the issue in the mach because I have raced a few machs and they are usually a good race for me when Im not spraying. I didnt know they were that bad in auto trim, the 460 auto in GM's is bad enough, no offense A4 drivers, but if the machs is worse it must really suck.

Ummm, you thinka 4L60E sucks!?!? Okay, imagine the shifts taking about 3x as long (literally) and instead of jerking the car slightly on gentle upshifts, imagine a luxury car, oozing from gear to gear with a faint whine in the background, this is LITERALLY how ford A4's perform

Yeah thats about how it is.. I my self haven't driven an Auto Mach but my GT had the same tranny and it sucked..
