He won the first race by what looked like 1.5 cars or so and lost teh 2nd one b/c he missed the 2-3 and let off before he pulled back. WOW!!! seems to me that I expected a LOT more out of the LS1, makes me want to run one in my 5.0 I'm curious now (I have yet to run an F-body car )

i remember one of my first races in the camaro, a 2001 gt. He had catback and was a stick. i killed the guy. Heres the kicker he goes its an ls1 isnt it, i just smile. Nice race, not a big fan of the 4.6's.

the 4.6 is a wee gutless from the factory, rode in my friends stock 03 GT A4 and my other friends stock M6 LS1 SS. Yeah....it woulda been funny.

The GT he raced was a five speed. It had 3.73s, bbk throttle body, offroad x-pipe, exhaust, and nittos. I was riding shotgun in the Z28, thats about 230 lbs of extra weight. The guy in the mustang was by himself and probably weighs all of 140. So weight was a big disadvantage for SidewayzOZ car. I wanted to ride in the stang and get some videos in it, but we ran out of time. Had to get back to class

Don't gauge your experience of the 4.6 off of an automatic example, they are complete dogs.

The 5-speed manual versions are much much quicker, so still no match for an LS1 stock for stock though

I have not ridden in a 5-spee 4.6 GT So i guess my input there is lacking, but yeah, yer right, from what i experienced myself, ford A4's feel like they use KY instead of tranny fluid....

The 2v 4.6 (99-04 GT's) I'm not a big fan of. The 3v 4.6 (05-06 GT's) & the 4v 4.6 (Cobra/Mach 1) however I like. I don't wanna start a big debate over this since it doesn't rely towards the thread starter, but I just saw that you said your not a big fan of the 4.6's, so I thought I'd share which 4.6's I am a fan of.
