This kill story is for stanger 88. representing the 5.0 liters (and getting walked)
i recently sold my T/A so i've been driving around my dads. 89 mustang covertible lx. while i'm looking for a car.
and yesterday when i was coming home form basebll practice i noticed a brand new red hemi charger. in front of me. it was stock as is my 5.0. i go to pass him going around 60 mph. and he stays with me and speeds up. then he takes off. so i drop to fourth and hit it. we roll it out to about 90 and he has 2 cars on me when we shut down. i wasn't really that impressed with the charger. maybe he was toying with me.
can't wait til i get my new car.

Chargers are gay!! Mopar garbage!!!!! Almost as bad as rice!!! To god damned heavy! I have raced several and none have even come close. I have to agree LSfast1, Blah weak sauce baby, weak sauce.

, hate how they are ruining the name (this is a perfect example)...Mopar on the other hand is not Garbage, if you look around on here you will find there are alot of problems specifically with our cars, my Charger had no technical problems at all, not one. 3 Ram 3500s (2002, 2004, 2005) with 400k, 100k and 220k, all towing 14-20k pounds constantly with no problems except a tranny on the 2005 (change in 2005 oil pump caused this).
Mopars are the highest valued restored cars there are, I guess people pay high dollar for "garbage"

I pulled a hemi charger from 60 to 90 by about 3-4 cars or so (hard to tell, but it was a bus) so that sounds about right. He wasnt toying with you. They are just that slow

Old school mopar killed the other stuff for the most part, buick then = 455
Buick now= grannywagon. Dodge then= Hemi Cuda Dodge now= turbo 4-banger and new charger (which according to a mag test ran about 2/10ths faster quicker than the old charger from back in the day...over 3 decades of research and 2/10's is all we get?!?!)

My...med school and planning on buying a Camaro...? yer gonna be like that wierd old guy I raced (who did a fly by and i chased and lost...chase you race) in a Z28 ragtop. Guy needed a Vette, white hair, beard, attitude...but no car

I think the charger was not playing, the one I ran was definitely on it (even though he lied about it) because I saw his headlights drop and he fell back like a BRICK when i hit 95, indicating that he HAD been trying. if i took him by 3-4 cars, then that means i would take a stock 5.0 by about 5-7 cars from 60 to 90, which sounds reasonable to me.

OOPS!! Sorry boys! Old Mopar = awsome! New stuff = garbage. Trucks excluded. NOw that the Germans have taken the company over it will improve. Still mopars are weak sauce! The Charger especially. Have you seen those stickers?! BUt I love the old school stuff.
