2000 WS6 vs. 2003 Cobra
Ok,
Yesterday I got my 2000 WS6 finished. I installed patriot stage II heads and a custom comp cam 232/240. I was on a stock tune except for idle, and I told myself I wasn't going to race it until I got it tuned.....but a 2003 cobra came up beside me on the interstate and wanted to go. So we went from a 50 mph roll and I jumped on him, but my car just bogged out and he kicked the $@!# out of me. I knew I wouldn't win with a stock tune, but I decided what the hell I'll go anyway.
Thursday I'm installing lower control arms, relocation brackets, QA1 adjustable shocks, rear drag springs, and the adjustable panhard bar. I also have all the bolt-ons. He has the pulley mod and exhaust on his cobra. With my proper tune do you guys think I can beat him?

The first time I raced him was Monday night about 12pm, I was out again last night logging some data for the tune and he came up behind me again on the interstate. So I decided it wouldn't be a bad Idea to fill up my cells on the histogram, so we went at it again. This time I started to pull him in second gear at about 50 mph. Then he missed his gear and fell behind. I kind of got lucky because it didn't seem to surge like it had the first time. But it doesn't matter we're even now. I'll have track times for you this Saturday on the Cobra and hopefully next week for my car!

My brother-in-law and I were in his 98 A4 Z28. H/C w/226/585 cam, full exhaust and a Cobra w/ 2.8 pulley, tune and catback and 4 ....4 PEOPLE in the car....and he walked us through 2nd and 3rd by at least 5 mph and kept going, my SS at the time was faster but it was one reason I got a Cobra. I looked at that Cobra when I was looking for one but it was Yellow...That same car w/stock converter and bad tune put 380 to the wheels. FYI.
