C5...supra...2006 911s My cousin just bought a 2006 carreraS Porshe. Naturally a race was arranged. But not with out excluding his friends 430 rwhp Supra.
Me and the supra go at it first. From a 70 mph roll to 120 mph he put 2-3 cars on me before we shut down at 120 mph. I was pretty happy with the out come considering he has 50 more rwhp than I do..
Then him and my cousins stock 355 HP porshe go at it many many many times. The porshe looses by a pretty good margin each time. But there so busy racing each other that they forget about me.
So Im two cars behind the Porshe and Supra and go WOT around 1 second after they hit it at 70 mph..
At first im staying 2-3 cars back from the porshe and dont seem to be pulling. But around 85 mph ( man i love my HUD) I start realing him in and by 100 mph I have closed the two to three car gap and pass him up.
We do this 2-3 more times from the same out come and then go to wendy's to talk about it. At first I was kinda upset that we never had a fair even start race. But then realized that coming two cars from behind a 911S porshe and then pulling him in and passing him means my car has come a long way since it was bone stock. And I was pretty happy. Also pretty happy with the run with the 430 rwhp Supra as well...
Considering all the magazines say a stock vette runs 13.0-13.4 at 107-109 mph (105 for an auto) and that the carrera runs 12.6 at 111 mph (MT) my car has defiently came a long way.

I bet that got you more excited pulling into that parking lot than you did racing.

Come on 996...You cant even compare 911S's and boxsters to your car. Dont take it the wrong way. Your 350Z is INSANE looking in my honest opinion. How much boost you running on that thing. Maybe if your lucky you can go find a 2004 Z06 and pull bus lengths on him with that nice 350 of yours.

That guys 911 is outstanding. Clean and fast.
Good kills 2.73 vette. I am in the same boat gear wise as you(albeit with a Camaro) and like seeing someone stick with the tall gears and still make the car fast.

Your car is supposedly a monster. but I always found it funny how you can have a mod list as extensive as yours ( were talking 50 grand in mods easy) but then you can neever seem to go to a track and get some real times or even go to a dyno and get some real numbers.
Your always like...My friends 350Z has the same mods as me minus this and that and he made 800 rwhp and ran 9.8, so I should be 900-1000 rwhp and run 8's or 9's. How about you spend 100 more dollars and go do a dyno..Or spend 60 dollars for a helmet and track times???????
just seems strange to me that some one who can afford a car of this magnitude and then spend all the time building it cant go to a dyno/strip?????

A 996 and a f-body/y-body car? No ******* comparison, 996 over any of those cars. New Z06 and the 996tt? Still no comparison. LSX motors are cool and all, and vette's look sick, but seriously. Not in the same league.
