Im cruising home Sunday night and coming up behind me I notice the SS and he pulls up next to me in traffic and throws a rev at me, I give him the thumbs up and we roll side by side to the next light. Its 2 younger guys in a nice looking black SS they both give me a wave. We drove in traffic for about 2 miles stopping at various lights and then it starts to go down...we roll up to a light with 1 car in front of me...he turns right, now we are both sitting in pole position.

I roll down my window and they did too, I asked what they did to it, it sounds so nice, they say nothing but Flowmaster 40's (??), I said "BS its sounds to good" and they swear its stock with just the mufflers. I ask them if its auto or stick, they say auto and then ask me, I tell them 6, I ask what year, they say 02, I say the same....I say "at the green were gone" they say yep.....light goes green and almost instantly they get a car on me as I spin more then I wanted , as I hit 2nd they are still ahead 1 car, in 2nd I catch and pass them by 1 car, then I hit 3rd and pulled 4 or 5 cars on them by 100 and we both shut down. Next light we are both in front again and they looked over and gave me the thumbs up. Light goes green and its the same exact race, they jump me by 1 and I have them by 4 or 5 at 100 again and we shut down.

The next light had traffic and I was turning right, I beeped and waved at them and they did the same. I have to admit the kill felt great, but I wish it wasnt against a fellow LS1'er , but I will take it My only mod is a Magnaflow catback. When I got home I told the wife and she gave me that look

i know the m6 has better topend but i wouldnt think you would pul 4-5 cars on him. esp from behind after 1st and 2nd. mabe if you went to like 130.

By the end of 2nd, I had him by a car.....going into 2nd my front bumper was at his rear bumper, by the end of 2nd gear, his nose was at my back bumper and thru 3rd gear to 100mph, I put 3 or 4 cars on him, for about 4 or 5 total at 100mph......I was ahead after 2nd gear.

What are your mods? 4-5 at 100 is not possible stock M6 to stock A4 (or both lightly modded). At that speed in the 1/4 things are usually even. The A4 typically gets the holeshot and the M6 takes about a 1/4mi to run it down. Equal launches and the M6 will be about 1/2 to 1 car ahead by then.

So you won by 4-5 cars with only a Magnaflow? I'm sorry, but both cars should be almost equal, with you having the slight advantage, but not a 4-5 car advantage.

I had an auta TA. And a buddy of mine had a stock 6 speed. He would absolutly murder me. He would have a good 3-4 cars on me by 100. And I had lid and loud mouth. HIs firehawk was a freak! You probably have a good car. The Z could of been rolling 273's. And anything can happen on the street. Good run man. ANd I live with that damn look constantly!

Nice runs...My wife Loves to race. She is a pretty good driver also, I am going to teach her how to drive my WS6 and let her crack some younger guys!! I would love to see their facial expressions.....'I just got beat by the hott azz chick!!!" priceless!!!!!

Good kill...the SS also had flowmasters which flow like crap....along with what everyone else is saying. The SS needs a higher stall

Thanks guys for the good comments.....The wife knows how it is by now and deals with it ...I think she secretly likes it, but wont tell me. She is too afraid to drive stick, I offered, she refused, I left it at that.



I dont know all the reasons I won by 4 or 5 cars but I did....twice . My only mod is a Magnaflow catback. My car is well taken care of and only has 19k on the odometer, maybe that made a difference...who knows the story behind their ride ( true mods, problems etc.)...plus there was 2 guys in it vs. just me in mine. All I know is they got smoked by at least 4 cars by 100mph

Well, I am really surprised you beat him by so much.
I would have said up to 100, then there would be less than half a car, even perhaps to HIM in the A4
But anyway, just my 2 cents.

A lot of A4's have shittier gearing than the M6's from what I've seen anyway.

With the other guy having 2 other people in the car that is a lot of weight. Probably another 350lbs. Maybe even more if they weighed a lot. I think it's reasonable that you would pull hard up top with the weight advantage and the M6 being faster in stock form (topend) to his stock A4. Plus he has a catback which could be good for another 10-15 hp...

The A4 had 2 passengers? I thought it was only one. The added weight would be enough for 4 carlengths in the 1/4. I need to improve my reading skills.

stock A4's with 3.23 granny gears have no powerband. dropping down to 4000rpm at the 1-2 shift will kill you.
