Default ??S-10 vs. 99Z28??

Well, I haven't posted in here FOREVER, so here goes.

Just kinda curious what u guys think of this race I have coming up in late summer.

Me: 99 Z28, H/C/I w/ most bolt ons. Made 433RWHP and 389 RWTQ on a Mustang Dyno, so looking around 450ish RWHP and 400+ RWTQ on a Dyno Jet. Installing a Strange Dana 60 whenever it is delivered w/ 4.10s. Ran at the track but broke the 10 bolt on 2nd pass, 1st pass was a baby launch and ran 12.2 only at 115. I was at the end of 3rd, just going into 4th at the end of the 1/4 so the gears should help alot.

I will be on a 28 in. tall M/T drag radial.

Contender: late 80's S-10, 409 cubic in. small block, made just over 500 flywheel hp and 550 flywheel torque. 9in. w/ 4.56 and a powerglide tranny. Fully caged and mostly gutted.

He will be on a M/T Sportman Pros in a 31x18.00x15

1st race will take place at the track and then the street.

Im going to say you will lose. He will be weighing right at 3000 if not lighter and have the same power as you. His trans and gears with a high stall will put him ahead. I say 1/2 second win on his part.

I feel about the same as u guys on this one. But I forgot to mention the 150-200 shot I will be adding. LOL but seriously, i will be adding a 150 shot on this car. Just won't be using it for this run, or maybe i will.

Curly: "Yeah mike i want to ride in it!"
Moe:" Ohh I blew it up using NOS racing an S10"
Larry:" Slap. You Idioit! Slap Slap
Curly:"Slap Slap, what were you thinking? Slap "
Moe:"Duhh I wanted to win "

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Thats good. No, I always planned on spraying the car. I wanted a mid 11 sec car on motor and a 10 sec car on the spray. Just something I always wanted to do. I have everything else done now, motor is setup somewhat, tranny is rebuilt and beefed, rearend is unbreakable (better be). Now all I need to do is Blow apart the bottom end and rebuild and set it up w/ a iron block 402 and a single TURBO. Someday soon, and the nitrous will only get me there faster!! LOL

As for it being a s-10, it is a frame off restore job and it will look rather nice. I'm the one that is helping restore it. LOL Maybe I should quit helping and he will never be able to get it done, thus I will never lose to him. LOL
