Default Can I beat C6

Just wondering if I got what it takes to hold off a C6 non Z06 Corvette..
Currently I have a good tune, long tubes, no emissions stuff either, magnaflow catback, lid, all the freebies, 3800 stall, on a set of Nitto DR's.. Mine is a 98 with 2:73's.. Just wondering if I can hold off a 6speed C6.. and if not how far back am I?? I know you guys hate these questions sometimes but I kind of think I have a chance and the guys at work this im full of .. Thanks
If all else fails I can spray on him and win, but I want to beat him N/A...

If its is M6 from a roll, prob not gonna happen,I would say a good 2-3 cars behind from the roll. You will most likely take him from a dig.

Yea I agree, with the nitto dr's and big stall you will jump him from a dig, but from a roll the c6 will pull on you. Oh yea IBTL!

If you spray you should walk him, if you go with spray though i say minimum 75 shot to get the job done.

So basically a short race from a dig is my only option?? Oh well, guess I need to start looking into a cam swap before I decide to tackle a C6.. Im not going to spray him, I agreed to run all motor.. and if I did spray I am on a 150 shot.. so i really wouldnt be too worried at that point.. Oh and what does IBTL mean???

Yea id go big cam, especially since it would work well your 3800 stall. Id say maybe an mid to high 230 intake/duration cam, or even a trex, ms3, or g5x3 as they all are good on spray and will put you over 400+ rwhp cam only. That should be enough to take a c6 n/a. Haha IBTL means In before the lock as all threads nowadays get locked so its just a joke.

you should add some gears to your mix as well... big stall, nice cam... equals need for gears

A set of 1.85 rockers and you got him in the 1/4. Do not do a roll with this guy.

You might win the 1/8 mile, but in the 1/4 the C6 should win. I ran 12.23 @115 stock in my 06 M6 coupe, with about A 7.9 1/8 Mile at 92.

yeah man you are going to have to step it up they go an easy 86-88mph in the 1/8. It would be ugly.

At the average track with average cars and average drivers...

Stock mn6 c6.......12.8 at 112 mph

Stock 2.73 f body.............13.6 at 102 mph
-long tubes and good tune.13.3 at 105 mph
-lid................................13.2 at 106 mph
-3800 stall......................12.9 at 109 mph
-freebies........................12.8 at 110 mph
-nitto DR's......................12.8 at 110 mph (Having drag radials on a 2.73 geared car is kinda like wearing a condom with your wife when her tubes are tied)

-with the stock Tires my best was 2.0
-with the street tires my best was 2.0
-with BFG drag radials my best was 2.0
-with ET streets my best was 2.0........2.73 geared cars dont really have a problem with traction and getting out of the hole...There just too slow to need a real tire IMHO...

But maybe with that big stall it is needed????????

But based off my math you will still get owned even from a dig...And from a roll it will be ugly asumming equal drivers..

IT JUST TAKES SO MUCH MORE RWHP TO MOTIVATE THE 2.73 GEARS TO BE FAST COMPARED TO THE 3.23 AND 3.42 F BODYS.

Dude, your info is wrong. With a hard hitting stall, you'll need drag radials even with 2.73s. Drag radials really improved my time and I don't have headers yet.
