LONG STORY HERE BUT A GOOD ONE
Before i got my ls1 i had a 2002 dakota R/T...more of a show truck then a race truck...only mods were exhaust/headers/gears/CAI/shift kit well a guy from my local town used to talk mad **** bout his 03 cobra being able to walk my ***...lol...duh..neways he was always on me to run him..he has basic bolt ons on the stock blower..i finally gave in and gave him a run one night and he put bout 4 cars on me in a 1/4 from a dig...not to shabby i thought for my truck being heavy and slow with 20" rims and airbags...lol
Anyways i been trying to get him to run me in my ls1 for about a month now...well he doesnt know i have the nitrous on yet..been keeping it quiet until i could get him to run me...
Well we finally hit them off tonight..he pulled up to me and was askin what all i had done...told him exhaust and a lid...he talked to his passenger and then asked me if i wanted to run...i said sure...so we went to our local street racing spot...his passenger got out to flag us....well..i jumped bout 1-1 1/2 cars instantly...didnt hit the spray until 35mph due to the fact of being on shitty street tires....he had just started to pull up a lil bit when i flipped the switch...and i broke lose a lil bit and started pulling again...got about 3 1/2 cars by the end...pulls over and jumps out all pissed off demanding that i pop the hood..lol..i say what for and says he wants to see under the hood...i said why i can just tell ya that i got 100 shot on here and itll save us both some time...he demands a rematch...so i do and its same result basically...then he wants a roll race and im a lil more scared on this one...so we go from a 40mph roll...figured i wouldnt have any traction issues this time and just prayed that he would...well i pulled instantly about 1 car and slowly pulled...let out about 130 and he was maybe 2 1/2 cars back...lol..after the race he tells me a few exscuses and we drive off....get a call from a buddy saying he heard i got pulled on from the roll

nice kill that guy defenitly needed to be shown where to put his mouth next time, but jeese what a *** to go and make excuses why he lost but at first he was running his mouth he could beat u. Then he had the nerve to go out and tell people he beat u, jeese come on. So yah right on not only did u show him who is better but u got him all paranoid that he has to go out and say he won... lol

I never understood the need to lie. We all lose races to other cars, and if you havent yet, you will. Its part of racing, you win and you lose. Oh well some people are just dumb asses.

lol..well i know what the outcome would have been off the spray...but u race what ya bring...i brought the bottle and he brought the blower...poweradder to poweradder...well all i know of is exhaust,fordmotorsports CAI,and a pulley and a tune on his cobra

Good kill! I bet he's like "I shouldn't have phucked with that F-Body" lol. Anway, don't worry over his lies, you know you own him and he does too and thats all that matters. I guess some, not all, 03/04 Cobra guys get scared when they hear about a LS1 having spray. There have been many times at the local track when I've heard one say, "I'll run you motor to motor." I think to myself, "What are you going to do, take your blower off?"

Nice one! I like that approach with the spray! It is hard these days to keep hidden kits on the down low because too many fockers run their mouths!

yea i got a sneaky way of hiding the bottle...on days when i know the ttops will be out i keep it in the spare tire holder...but on the other days i made a sub box that fits right into the ttop holder..well it actually isnt a sub box...its just hollow and looks like a sub..i put the bottle under that and then when they ask to see in the back where the spare tire holder is...its just a bottle bracket with no bottle!!!works pretty well

That is one thing that I always wanted to do was have a secret kit set-up! I used to get accused of that all of time when my car was n/a with a mild set of heads and MTI c2 cam on a 114 lsa. I had quiet exhaust to so you could barely hear the cam! It used to drive the local Mustang boys nuts because they would get pissed when I would beat some of their faster cars and they would accuse me having nitrous. So I would show them under my hood and my hatch area to include under the spare tire panel. Of course I told them that I just had exhaust and a lid too! It pissed them off! Especially when someone leaked it to them.
