Stock Formula walks 05 GTO allright, so we had 00' formula get traded in at my work last week. Today i finally got around to checking it out because i was thinking of buying it. i give it a once over and this think is Bone stock. factory lid, original paper filter, stock exaust, most likely stock wires too, and it's an Auto. so as i'm about to pull out i see my friend in the parts dept. pulls up in his 05 GTO M6 and he wants to run for comparisson. so we go from a dig and i notice this Formula feels pretty strong and it smokes the tires pretty easy, then chirps second. and it ends up coming from behind and creeping by the GTO. we both had a big "what the F**K" face on. then we go again from about a 20 roll and i shift it manully this time and i beat him by about a car. We were both pretty surprised buy how strong this little A4 formula was, but the dealership allready wholesaled the car out before i could get a price on it.

My buddy used to have an old '98 Formula with 2.73's and it would hang with and smoke several bolt-on LS1 cars in our group! He put a bolt-on SS and T/A down a few times. Then he put spray on it and it was a monster! Everyone would pick on it too because it looked like a v-6!

Hey, what can I say....Formulas are the best 
Same car as a Trans Am...... except its lighter (and of course looks different). I heard that the fastest 1/4 mile LS1 fbody tested in Car & Driver was a 1999 Formula M6, it ran a 12.9 stock.
