CBR900 vs 408 SS
Well I was extremely bored the other day so I decided to go find something to race. As is normal there is not jack **** to be found. So I drive up to a church that sits on a hill. YOu can see both sides of the highway coming into town. After awhile this got old. Off in the distance I see a bike coming. I hoped it was a crotch rocket. It was. I pull out behind him and weave through a few cars to catch up.
After about 5 minutes we are the only 2 in a 1 mile stretch. So I ease up to him and shoot some revs. He smiles real big so I know he is game. (no helmet law here) Both of us back off our speed. We dont honk I just see him lean forward and the revs shoot up. I was down shifting as soon as I saw him lean. He gets the jump. I mash the pedal. He is about 3 cars out in front. by 80 mph. We started around 40. At around 110 I am even with him and by 15x He is pretty far back. Maybe a bus and still falling. I loose my ***** at that point and ease offf the speed. He just flies by at that point and keeps on going.
The End.
How fast are those CBR900's? It was purple and yellow. I know back in the day they where the ****.

You should have a good shot man. What kind of rwhp do you have? I am putting down 502 N/A. If that gives you any idea. 600rr should be meat.

I'm not a bike expert by any means, but here's my little 2 cent contribution...
A good friend of mine had a '94 900RR, at least I believe it was a '94.
Anyway, he took it to the track with me once and he only made a single
pass. He babied the **** out of it out of the hole then got on it. He missed
a gear and went 11.0 @ 130mph. I raced him on the way home from a 50 roll
on the highway and we put endless football fields on me. That's when I was
trapping 121mph in my Camaro.

LOL Was he modded? I dont know jack about bikes so I couldn't tell you if the one I raced had mods. It had a black pipe. Normally I see the chrome ones.

Good trap speed. What was your rwhp at the time?

if a friend's bike was modded 6 years ago?
Honestly, I think it only had exhaust. I don't know for sure. I'll ask him
tomorrow.
There's a few bike gurus floating around here. Maybe we'll get some expert
opinions.
Oh...BTW, nice run! Forgot about that.

N/A. Then I hit it with a 150 shot to run mid 11's in the low 120's.
A/F was solid across the board and I ran it frequently at the track so there
was no need for it to be on the rollers.

Thanks. I am curious about thier performance. I am suprised by the outcome too. No bullshit, once I reached 100 mph it almost seemed effortless. Now to get my bottle refilled.

umm if i an getting a true 150 to the wheels (NX) then i should be putting down around 520, but realisticly i think i am closer to 500rwhp
does runnign a 11.7 at 121 with a 1.84 60' on a 100 shot up in minnesota on a shitty track on a 100 degree day sound like 470 hpish? cuase i have upped it to a 150 and have not yet run it at the track
and yes it CAN get up to 100 in minnesota =)

I dont know much, but I know a Honda 900CC bike is pretty frakin mean. To bad he kept going, would have been nice to talk too. 150 and no helmet. Thats an interesting person folks.
