blew the paint off an 03 GT with my little old 305.
I found the one of the local street racing spots on my way back from the local strip club. I was a little drunk and had just cut some doughnuts in font of the strip club during my grand exit. I pulled up to this industrial park and found some mustangs and hondas and one 97 Ta that i knew. This mustand had been winning some races and he had some guys with some GT's also. So he runs the 97 ta and the ta pulls him out the hole. The mustang catches him and loses by a bumper. My car is a little faster than an lt1 so i race this mustang. We leave the hole head up and i shift into second and there is a car lenth. I pull on him and hit third and theres another car length. I out ran this dude by about 2 and a half. Not much of a kill but considering its a 305 that is a big acomplishment.

Thats pretty impressive in my book. THat means you must be north of 260 whp. I am impressed for a 305. Everyone knows 302's can move, but a 305 !?!? lol, post a full mod list, I among others im sure, want to know!!!

Unless you left something out of your signature, im pretty sure Rod's fox would hand you your *** just glancing over his mods that he has posted and thinking of what my car would do at 2800#...
What do you run, low 13's? If thats it, i wouldnt talk any smack to 'Rod about his Fox. It would embarass you. Hell, mine would prolly make you think twice and its a porker at 3475ish race weight.

hah guys lets not get out of hand here. Stanger I dont think he was questioning me but thanks for the backup anyway. I actually have a few more mods on my notch now, but it also gained about 35lbs too (Ive been slacking off with keeping stuff out of the car). But theres a cure.....it's summertime; who needs insulation anyhow?

You can have the Virgin Mary in that engine and it would not make it automatically fast, comprende?? So unless you show REAL timeslips, dyno sheets or videos you can shove that Rustang where the sun dont shine...
Lets wait if the original poster chimes again with additional details before acting like a dumbass raping your piehole away....thanks

I saw the drunk thing but kinda left it alone. Ive been seeing more and more stories start that way recently.....wierd.
Anywho, 89tang wasnt really ripping on the guys car, I mean it won the race after all, but wheres the harm in a little crack on a 305, we've all done it before. However I would like to see what he does have done to his car, so lets not get this one locked mkay?

And i didn't ditch his ride, in order for me to ditch it i'd have to be driving it which i wouldn't do in the first place .

Yeah easy, right?....pointing out he was drunk (wich is wrong of course)....another damn troll. I simply hate when some A-hole raps his mouth away and talks **** about someone elses ride without even having a damn good reason...waiting for the numbers BTW (since aparently your POS is faster than a speeding fart)

The 305 berlinetta, IROC, RS and so many other GM products are thought of as dogs because they have never really performed particularly well. GM even put the 350 into some mid 80's camaros and found that it wasn't much better than the 302. It had a reputation of being slow, expensive to mod (compared to 5.0 or 350), and not as effective as the 350 on the street or track. Add into that GMs wonderful TB injection and you have a lot of lackluster performance. Therefore the stereotype gained root and for the most part is backed up by poorly maintained 3rd gens being driven by rednecks doing drunken donuts in the gravel lot of a strip club in Cletusville.
The comment was meant in jest based on the performance of 99.9% of all the 305s on the road today. And pretty much when they were new too.
