Default had some fun with an STI

was on my home on Sat night when a silver STI comes up beside me. he had nice black rims, and a pretty nice sounding bov. sounded like aftermarket exhaust. i was like, what the hell, why not? i put it in 3rd at like 65mph and was waiting to see if he wanted to honk or wanted me to. well he just punched it. so immediatley he gets a car lead on me. half way through 3rd i pull him in fast, and keep pulling til about 140mph. prolly about 4 or 5 cars on him. another bad thing for him was i had my t-tops off too. i had fun. thanx.

Good kill

STi pretty much die at about 100 since they shift at 100 MPH to 5th. A TBE+Tuned STi will make about 300 WHP, still not much of a match for a stock LS1 up top though.

Nice kill man

STI's are very strong off the line, but as speed increases, they lose their edge.

STis have always impressed me as quarter mile cars, but beyond that they just go south.

Good kill!

1/4 mile cars? I don't really think they were made for drag racing

If I were to judge my STi as a 1/4 mile car..it would pretty much be an enormous waste of money. But, I, nor most likely 90% of all drivers buy one for that reason (the remaining 10x are the moronic BOV equipped, side hat wearing, rap music thumping drivers).

Well considering we're talking about a drag race here, I figured a 1/4 comparison would be most appropriate

Just taking a guess here that I always thought the having the tops off would make the car slower thereby making his win better since he had a handicapped yet still won hehe.

lol you have to many wigger 18 year olds in jersey. actually a good driver with a nice turbo setup in a REAL sti can run very low 1/4 times, single digit. i know of three examples right off hand...two are in a "sti v cobra" thread on here, and the third is a friend of mine....i agree with the top end idea. they dont really have much in the way of speed up there, thats why this guy with a lightly modded 13 second car pulled him. i will also say alot of guys call alot of the subarus they see, as sti's when in fact there just wrx's, big difference (80+hp), by no means am i taking away from this guys kill, good job....but most of the spoiled little wigger kids down here pull the hondas, yodas, and mitsubitchys....

ah i get it now, its more of like a ego type thing, rather than an actual performance affect by having the tops off... thanks!
