Let's put it like this...

It feels like you physically hit a brick wall when the traction control engages
at WOT. It honestly hurts it kills power so bad. Anyone who leaves it on is
sure to lose. Mine is turned off permanently via the tune.

totally agree with unit21...when i got my z i raced an 04gt with exhaust/headers/CAI and continuely pulled him with no problems....well the first race i left it on...i forgot to turn it off and he pulled me by like 2 cars....i was pissed didnt know why it was launching/bogging so badly...then i realized i left it on...trurned it off and walked him 3 times straight....huge difference...

Yes you should have gotten him anyways, but it certainly wouldn't be by a wide margin. In my experience, it takes about 340rwhp+ to run even with a stockish 03/04 save for maybe a catback and an fipk.

Nice run, yeah with your mods, Id say you should pull a stock or lightly modded Cobra.

Unit...What tune permanently turns off the traction control. I should be getting my pulley's and tune this week. I got the SCT Tuner.

that would be a drivers race in my opinion...cobras are underated from the factory as far as hp!!! but on the same note ls1's are too...my Z dynoed 297 at the wheels with no mods..after the 100shot it dynoed 401 and after stall and LT's and tune it dynoed 446

Stock 03 Cobra would be around 360 rwhp/tq so you should have pulled him anyways. Nice kill!

If the Traction Control is anything like the Mach1's it's bad. Feels like someone reaches behnd the car and grabs and hold it for a sec. First time it engaged I sortta flew forward in my seat. I was like "What the.... Oh yeah...."

mines off too...

I shut it off orginally with a SCT tuner, and I have a RWTD tune now. its on the canned tunes too on the programmers that can data log.

Many Cobra's make more than 360 stock. Mine made 383.6 stock and 420.7 with just CAI and catback. I remember forgetting to turn off the TC the first time I gave a friend a ride. Got on it hard and she pulled for a sec, slammed me into the belts like I stood on the brakes for a sec and then pinned me in the seat again. It was crazy and violent, made my Bud's eyes bug out. After figuring it out and feeling like a fool, I turned it off and shoved his eyeballs back in his head.

don't know where you come from but a 400 rwhp ls1 walks a stock cobra pretty hard around these parts (if you can find a stock cobra). Definitely not a driver's race.

I am using sct software to tune my car and I disabled mine as well.

03/04 cobra are also heavier by about 200 pounds over and f-body. With 400 at the wheels and less wieght he would have taken the cobra anyways. imo.

The 360 was on a Mustang Dyno, so I'd believe close to 380 on a dynojet.

I think the main problem with racing stock 03/04 Cobras, is that there are none.

My traction control sucks, it pushes the pedal back at my foot
