killed an 05 gt, my first i caught a stop light next to an 05 gt with chrome cobra r wheels and he had his window down looking at me. i asked him if his gt would outrun a camaro , he said OH YEAH then pointed at the stop light and said ill show you! just so yall know my camaro is an m6 with ls1, 4.10 gears ,drag radials and other mods. He has no idea about the drag radials.............light turned green and i launched at about 2000 rpms ,hit 2nd gear and let out of it. he was about 5 or 6 cars back so i let him catch back up and asked him how many camaros he had outrun , he just gave me a fucked up look and turned off............i thought this was so funny. I LOVE MY NITTO DRAG RADIALS

i have raced 2 03 cobras , beat one, lost to one...........one had street tires the other had drag radials , both had 16 lb pullies. both races were full 1/4 mile steet races. not new to racing, just thought that 05 gt was funny thats all

meh, Im not too impressed by the new stangs.
I raced one the other day in my notch. He punched it at about 15 after I just shifted into second, so he pulled about 1/2 car on me while I gained rpms, then as I was starting to reel him in he shut down, my nose at his door. This was while I was only running 9* timing
(dont ask). He had his gf I'm assuming riding shotgun, so I gave him props and didnt mention how it was nowhere near my cars potential. He sounded like an auto though, they are a tad slower than the m5 cars iirc.
IMHO, ford **** the bed on the new cars.

not to crazy about the new mustangs all the mustangs i used to have were the fox bodies now i got my TA i can hardly find a GT to race me only had 2 race me and pulled on them fast.

I have only raced 1 mustang and it was a fox that was almost a dead match for me. I feel depraved, how do you guys get all these mustangs to race? Oh, i ran 1 V6 05's. I killed 1 fro ma roll, and the other sucker punched me at a light and I let off at 50 with them 1 car ahead and falling quickly. I spun and all that jazz and she got a PERFECT launch...yes, it was a 18 yo girl that could launch like a bat out of hell (M5). yes i feel like an asshat.

Plus on performance stats the new GT is about on par with a stock BMW M3, accept it costs only half the price and looks better.
