03 Cobra vs 98+ Z28
Well on my way home from work today I was just cruising along in the fast lane about 75 mph. I came up on a 98+ Camaro and didnt think he would do anything it looked stock (maybe an exhaust) so I didnt try to mess with him. There was a car maybe 1/8 mile ahead of me so I figured I was going to have to get into the middle lane soon. I thought I was passed the Camaro already so I looked over to see if I could switch lanes and I didnt see him, so I look again and he was right in my blind spot on the passenger side, so I keep it in 6th and floor it a bit and he pulls up next to me. So now Im like ok, im just trying to get over and he thinks im trying to race, so I shift down to 4th and hit it. I pulled maybe 4-5 cars and got into his lane then started slowing down. He comes up fast and slows down next to me, I downshift to 4th again probably could have gone to 3rd and I let him hit it, he gets maybe 2 cars up and I start to pull him pretty hard, I put maybe 4 cars on him or so then let off, my exit was coming up so I move over to the slow lane and he goes flying by me. Oh well, at least I had some fun, havent had too many races on my way home from work like i used to in my Evo. Oh BTW my mods are Bassani Catback, K&N FIPK, 2.8 upper pulley, 4# lower pulley, SCT Tune, Idlers and new plugs should be around 450 whp.

Just no way I would trust a "pulley tune" from either diablosport or sct... to many variables...

I'll probably get the car dyno tuned when I get time, Ive heard of a guy in the LA area so I might take the drive down there to get it nice and dialed in.

Man 4lb lower. Please dont be one of those guys who blows his engine. Just be careful, thats alot.....ALOT of heat. Try to touch the blower even 20 minutes after a run like that. You would loose a bit of midrange tossing the 4lb and going back to stock or even a 2lb but your top end would be safer and better. Nice kill though.

Well instead of getting the 2# lower ( he didnt get it in) Im getting the ported blower installed tomorrow, keeping the 2.8 and going stock lower until the 2# comes in, unless you guys think I shouldnt go with the 2# lower. Im getting the Steg Stg 4 port so I think the 2#er should be fine. I might just wait until I get my injectors, bap, maf to install the 2# lower??

Well its going to have to have the SCT Tune until I have time to get it to a dyno (someone I can trust) A guy I know has had the 2.8, ported blower and SCT Tune for over a year and has no issues whatsoever. Obviously Id like to get it dyno tuned but right now its not an option. I guess we'll see how things go.
