long time in coming

for those of you who remember reading my post a couple months back on the stage 3 turbo GLI i was supposed to run..i finally did last saturday night. i've included the link to that old thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...1&page=1&pp=20

about 25 of my friends came out, most with their fbody's to see the run. according to one of the GLI driver's friends who showed up, the guy had told him "after i beat that camaro, im going up to him and every one of his friends and saying fuck you...what now" ..well..here's how it went:

he wouldn't go from the dig so we went from a 2nd gear roll twice.it was bad. both times i immediatly pulled on him and got him by 6-8 car lengths.

we had a run in the previous weekend at a local gas station, his g/f was once again with him and they both proceeded to call my car a POS, tell me i had no chance since i was N/A and was going to lose. after the runs he actually looked shell shocked, told me he had never gotten his ass handed to him like that before. anyway.. a satisfying ending to a bunch of BS.

I got goosebumps reading that kill. Good kill. We'll be seeing that car in the Autotrader very soon........

It would be a totally different situation if he didnt talk so much, but good kill.

blackbird00 08-08-2006 02:14 PM

nice kill i hate shit talkers and usually they will talk so much b.s. and then never run.. You got him to run so that was awsome and even better you beat him so bad he couldnt even make an excuse like ohh i was spinning or anything. Nice kill

For the life of me I have never understood why people think turbos and supers are magic. Power is power.

Its like people think F-bodies weigh 4500 LBS and rev to 3K or something.

Oh well, ignorance and arrogance make for fun kills. This is probably one of the best kills I have seen in awhile.

Cam02ss 08-08-2006 09:11 PM

well guys apparently its not over....now his gf is going around saying i only got him by 2 cars, etc. there was a video of the race taken from my friends SS. he says its not very good but you can def. see that i had at least 4-5 cars on him if not more. i'll try to get a copy and put it up here.

Good kill... and I agree.... Magic is for Chris Angel, not racing

The LS1 F-body is IMO one of the most misunderstood, underrated cars around (I'd put it up there with the Sy/Ty, and GN). To some people (and me included sometimes), they just look slow. I think people hear how loud my exhaust is at 2.5k RPMs, and think that's all it has. Either way, knocking some reality back into people is always nice.

Great kill. Get the vid up.

I hate when people put turbos in stages. What the hell is a Stage 3? I would love it if everyone learned sizes. I see all the sites offering staged turbos up to like 6. Damnit.

Very nice Kill, I think we all know too well the anoyance of shit talkers, get that vid up!

Cam02ss 08-08-2006 09:36 PM

sorry, yea i agree...i wasn't sure what it was but i found out. it is a GT28 or something along those lines. the reason he didnt run me weekend before last is because he wanted to make sure his "104 softwere" was in so he could run the 104 race fuel so his timing would advance. i believe he said he was making 365 at the wheels...if thats even true

Nice kill lol. Think todays F-bodys are underated because of the older ones 3 gen and down since most came with a 5.0ltr and not much horse. You have a kid in a brand new ricer with mods that kills an 89 T/a and thinks they can take a 99. Or they think there turbo or super will make there cars run like the ones on nopi lol

Well I am surprised to see you say LS1 Fbodies are misunderstood. Down in Houston, I would be the first to tell you that most Ford guys use them as a benchmark because they are known to roll, especially on the big end. I think H-Town is the Fbody capital of the world because they are everywhere and most can run well.

Hell, I may own a mustang and tease the LS1 owners but I have great respect for those cars.

As for the original post, that was an awesome kill!

yeah i hate that, i recently talked to some dude and his friends and they where talking about how one off them put it on a SS with their stock gti or gli what ever it was, i called their b.s. and then they came out how they'd smoke me on the "twisties" and blah blah blah, then i told them that i'd run them with my z with a lid only, but i had no takers, then the highlight was when one asked "where's your mullet?" and to which i replied "you can talk all you want, but i can still smoke every one of you" and then silence :judge: .....good run by the way, way to represent

I ran 1 of those VW R32s on my way home from summit racing was pretty funny i seen him in my rear trying to catch up so i slow down and he does the ricer flyby then gets infront of me cause of car in his lane so i floor and have to slam the breaks to stop from hitting him [lol 80mph dropped to 2nd in my A4.] so by the time i floor it again and drop back to 2nd he is about 3-4 length ahead of me as i start to real him in and pass at a nice 110. I looked over and he is holding the wheel like he has never gone that fast [it did have temp tags on it]. so i fly by him and get over 3 lans and make my exit. it was a fun race I love to shut turbo cars down.
