How about that race? The GTO is a 6 speed, and mine is an A4. I won't be spraying. He said he ran a 13.9 at the track, and I ran a 13.4 without my current mods. I've gutted like 200 lbs. off the car, and my mods are as follows:

Jet Hot LT headers with open 3" cutout
325/50/15 Nitto drags
UMI LCA's
UMI PHB
UMI SFC
1LE elbow
PCM tuned
150HP nitrous *not spraying*
Skinnies up front

How do you guys think I fare against this GTO? I ran a 13.4 on a 100* day, with bald street tires, and full race weight.

Well if we are bench racing and using time slips... of course you will win...

but race and find out... traction and this and that become a huge factor when you actully line up...

Those 06 GTO's can be mean if driven well. Some guys are pulling high 12's bone stock. I know this is the exception and not the rule. I raced an 06 gto the other day and he pulled me by a 1/2 car to 80. I have 95 lt1 ta with 3.73's, full exhaust, Madz28 tuning, sfc's, cold air kit, ect. I routinely pull stock Ls1's - dont know if the one I raced was stock or not but I was surprised.

Yeah they can, I'll be racing him once my skinnies get put on and my SFC get installed. I want to race him after I put my gears and stall in, but I'm not sure when that will be.

he may have ran a 13.9 on his worst run. These cars typically do low 13s, and have incredible acceleration. It should be a close race, but i dont know, sounds to close to call. Good luck

They feel about like my Stock 01 as far as acceleration...... my friend just bought one... an 06 A4.

nothing worst that a bad driver with a 400hp car, well, maybe those that won't be able to drive and would blame the car for their lack of skills.

Buddy just ran 16 @ 93mph and a 14.8 @ 94mph so far... he unfortunately has never raced anything before and had no idea how to launch... first run he was sideways, let off then went again. the 14.8 run he rolled off the line at like 2mph and then rolled into it. The GTO has a weak point... in the driver seat.

Lol, I have NEVER! seen a LS2 GTO break 13.5. At my track (Gilliam, LA...its a good track, the NHRA finals were held there and its 197' above SL) they normally run high 13's.

My buddys LS2 is every bit as fast as my Z28 is... We even messed around from some rolls and it was pretty even... IF they can get a good launch low 13s should be cake.
