Coming home from my girlfriends house tonight and i catch a white G35 zipping in and out of traffic doing about 60. The road we were on is a pretty long road where most ppl get off before it comes close to ending, saying that about 10 minutes later its me and him with a couple of other cars. The road is a 4 lane road so he pull up and revs...i rev back...u kno the deal, light turns green and i pull on him about a car length right out of the hole. All i saw was headlights going further and further. Both of our cars were stock, i have a slp loudmouth 2 and pacesetter headers sitting in my garage which i hope to get around to installing soon.
Anyway so we reach the next light and he gives me props and says 1 more race...we see a 350z pull up next to us now...so we figure this shud be awesome...i can tell the guy in the 350z didn't even notice what was happening but then he looked at us and starting reving his engine...we all took off on green and needless to say 2 birds 1 stone...we were all stock...i had them both by at least 3-4 car lengths. They were all cool guys and when i told them that my car was stock they actually didn't believe me lol...dumb imports owners j/k

Good Kills. You have an LS1 Firebird or Camaro? The Infinity G35 and the Nissan 350Z are pretty much the same car right?

ya the G35 is supposdly a little faster then the 350z like 10 hp more...shananigans if you ask me...one just has the infiniti insignia...and i have a 2001 SS Camaro (LS1)

The G35 is like 86lbs heavier and rated slightly less than the 350Z... I am almost positive the G35 ran a few tenths slower at the track as well. Unless that changed somewhere along the way.

I think it depends on whether its the g35 sedan or the coupe. I know the engine that they each have is pretty much exactly the same, just the 350Z is rated slightly higher. Id take the g35 coupe though in a second, they are so nice and look sweet. Good kills though and get those headers and catback on, you will love the sound!

the 350 is not bad for a v6. if you throw a turbo or s/c on them they can run pretty good. i test drove one once just to rip through the gears. the salesman seemed kinda nervous(lol). but at the end of the day the old gm takes the bacon...

The G35 coupe is a little slower than a 350Z. Not much and can always be a drivers race. It is heavier and has a little less torque and horse. I think they handle a bit better than the Z does though.

Ya the G35 is heavier but rated more hp from what I heard. 350z is faster tho... Id take the G35 cause it is definetly a sleek ride. Id just buy it for a cruiser/show car. Too bad i couldnt afford the insurance on that, my gxr AND my formula

They are almost the same weight, and if you're assumign they're all 06 manuals the 350Zhas 300 hp and the G has 298.

And I can't beleive I'm still saying this, so I'll give you a good analogy here

Telling a G35 sedan owner that the coupe is faster is the same exact thing as a G owner walking up to you and saying "You shoulda got the WS6/SS they're faster."

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE!!! unless you count the 20 pound weight difference. I don't.
