Nissan SE-R kill
Stopped at a light with a Black Nissan SE-R Spec-V to my left. This is a two lane road that goes straight for a while(just so you get the picture, and we both have a car infront of us). I go normal when the light changes and he guns it a little. I do nothing and just keep on driving the speed limit(45mph). He drops back next to me and does it again . So I ask him the next time he gets next to me if he wants to race, and he says yes. He has one passenger and the vehicles infornt of us are gone now. the guy in the passenger seat ask if my car is a V-8....I kinda look at him funny and say yes.
I guess they thought I was a V-6. As soon as I told him it's a V-8 the driver and the passenger both kinda gave a look like , awww crap he is gonna rape us . Well we did the whole sha-Bang... three honks and go kinda deal. Now I am not bragging about winning but I thought they might be a little faster than they were. I am guessing that we went from about 30-35ish mph and I ran away from these guys both races. Needless to say they were very cool about it and we gave each other the thumbs up. I have a question though.... what does the Spec-V stand for and SE-R stand for? Do people have any fast versions of these cars?

A spec-v is supposed to be the fast version! It has a 2.5 liter 4cyl. w/ 180ft.lbs./tq. a 6spd. and brembos from the factory.
One of my frineds used to have one when they were new, just before the evo came out. They are quick for what they are i guess. Oh well, nice kill anyways.

I think stock it will turn like a 15.3, 0-60 in maybe 7 seconds.
Its the "fast" version of one of Nissans cheapest car. I actually kinda like the looks of it, and for a 4cl commuter car it wouldn't be bad...not a race car though.
nice kill too !!

The brembos are a hint that it's about more than just straight-line performance.
but anyway, yeah, he'd need a decent shot of nitrous or FI to hang with the formula.

Yeah, stock none of the Sentra's were fast, though the "classic" SE-R was a great all-around car (91-94) and the SR20 motor has great potential (@500whp stock block on the DET version). Some are fast, but FWD has its limitations. Three times at the track my best run with a little T-28 turbo was 12.95 at 117mph with a DA of @8000ft (Topgun in Fallon, NV). You'll see 11's, maybe 10's, but that is extremely rare. Certainly not fast by LS1 standards.

I had a blast at the track trapping about 15-20mph faster than some cars running similar times with better reactions and absolutely blowing by them at the finish. It's a fun car, def. a sleeper with stock appearance other than 3" exhaust and flat black wheels. No stickers

And then there was a complete loser in a Honda with dual nitrous tanks in the rear window, body kit, 75 stickers, and a ferocious wing.

Yea im not saying its a highway only car but with that much power and trapping those speeds it must be real difficult to hook up at the track, but man I can only imagine that thing from say a 45-50 mph on the highway, lord knows it would have beat my cammed ls1...I love sleeper cars like yours, its awesome to see peoples faces when you go whipping past them. My buddy has a very clean srt-4 with all the bolt ons, .50 trim turbo, boost controller, WGA, upgraded fuel system, alky injection, etc etc and he put down 370 fwhp. Although when he goes to the track he doesnt cut the best ET's as wheel hop and traction really limit him but on the highway its a monster. I got beat by my buddies 05 C6 vette by a car length or so and he was feeling kinda cocky so I told him to race my buddies srt-4 and he kinda laughs and agrees and his face was priceless when the srt-4 started to slowly walk him. Def fun having a sleep car!
