ok, it isnt really a recent race, but last year on mustang weekend everyone was hangin out in the auto zone parkin lot. SR powered 240s are a pretty common thing in bowling green, but this guys was outrageous, the car was in immaculate condition, and had a monster turbo, he was from tennessee and up to watch the drag races. A local guy named adam rolled up in his 03 z06, no sooner than he got there he was challenged to race. He agreed and ran him from a 40 roll, and in just a few short seconds, the z06 was a buslength behind. Well apparently adam had started in 2nd gear when he should have started in first, so the rematch was on, with a line of cars a half mile long, they raced twice more, with the 240 winning each time, but they were within a carlength. We tried to get the guy in the 240 to race from a stop but he refused, i guess with that huge turbo, he probably has turbo lag like a mother.
