killed my first cobra 01 WS6 M6 Stock: I was down visiting the parents this weekend, me and my dad had gone out to this new little buffalo wing stand in town to get some grub before the big game. We were waiting for our wings when a black convertible cobra rolls into the parking lot. I go over and talk to the guy it's a 99-5speed and he says he's got 6grand in mod's, his exhaust sounded really good but I'm like yeah right so I talk him into a race. He want's to go from a roll so we decide on a 20-25 roll. 1ST race we actually went from about 40 I pulled him right out of the whole and ran to the top of 3rd where I had a 4-6 car lead. we stop and turn around he says he "hesitated too much on the last one thats why he could'nt run me down" so I'm like ok let's do it again then. 2ND race we went from about 25 I waited on him to hit and again I immediatly start pulling on him this time I gave him plenty of time to catch up I ran to the top of 4th where I had somewhere between 9-12 lengths on him (kinda hard to judge when their that far back) this time he said he spun too much thats why he could'nt get me. Despite the excuses he was a cool guy with no hard feelings or anything, we talked for a while when we got back to the wing stand. Oh yeah he popped the hood when we got back he had pullies, k&n, exhaust and a tune.

All that money in mods and it sounds like he didn't spend a penny for traction issues 
. I believe you because anything can happen on the streets so I'm not calling BS, but even a N/A cobra with a few mods should not be 9-12 lengths back on a stock LS1 car. To bad he couldn't have bought the driver mod with all that cash.

hmm 6k in mods?
****, my buddy has a 97 cobra with about 1k in mods and ran 12's with dr's.
+1 for needing a driving mod required

^lol I don't know why but I thought that pic was funny.
Anyway, nice kill, but I never understood why some people talk about so much money put into their car, like that's supposed to make it fast all on it's own. IMO it makes them look like idiots when they loose, their $ was wasted

I was pretty sure when I was talking to him before the race that he did'nt have six grand in the motor. Nor did I think for one minute my car would have pulled him like that with that much motor. I guess I did'nt make it very clear that the car turned out to only have a k&n, exhaust and pullies. I think him spinning too bad was nothing but an excuse.

Great kill, I have taken down a couple of cobras myself. The funny part is when you blow them off the road and they have the ***** to tell you that your car is a peice of **** when you just past them.
