I am going to race him this week. He has a chip pully and exhaust. I have meth and 8psi. He wants to race at 60mph roll. I will try and get a video of it. Should I race him from a roll or dig. My car hooks up a lot better from when I seen him racing a mustang.

not that high of a roll. what gear do you have? are you auto or maunal? What are the mods on the cobra?

I have stock gears 01 ws6. Manual. The cobra has chip, pully and exhaust. I think I should race him from a dig, but not sure.

chip/pulley/exhaust cobra could be anywhere from mid 400's rwhp to well over 500 rwhp...what kinda power do you make on the 8 psi on meth and are you an m6 or an a4?

If you can hook better than him def go from a dig, if not a 45 or so mph roll with you in second would be good, or maybe a 65 mph roll with you in 3rd.

I am not sure what he put down for hp on the dyno but I made a 100 more ft lb of torque then him. M6-500 rwp and 537 torque.

Race him from a dig and a roll. Video tape it and let us see the out come. Oh, he probrably wants to race from 60 cause I bet that's where he feels his best power band at. Let him have one at 60 and then you make him do a roll at what you feel best power at. Good luck!

I'm not quite sure why anyone would race from a 60 roll...I can see where an 03 (or 04) Cobra would want to race from a roll...maybe 20 or 30. Not sure why this Cobra driver wants a 60 roll, especially since most LS1s are know for that top end pull.

I can guarantee you hes not making 500 whp with just pulley, chip/tune, exhaust. I had that + lower pulley, ported blower and a few other things and I made 490 whp and 522 tq, im sure I could have made 500 but with his mods no way.

Race him from 45mph and brake boost. You should be able to kill him, turbo ls1's pull hard on the top end.

Brake boosting is when you apply the break, and give it almost full throttle.

But you dont go forward you apply enough throttle and break to build fully boost but you stay in on postion.

Its easy to described as stalling you ur up while your rolling.

If you give to little throttle your car bog, and you have to be in the correct gear or else it will bog etc

Practice this method while your driving around this week and you should fig it out pretty easy.

No one has ever gotten a TQ jump on my car because i break boost the **** outta it.
