Default Smashed 95 Cobra With My Top Down!!

Well, let me just say, it was a clean red 95 with silver racing stripes! I know the year cause the guy is in my unit. He also told me he needs his timeing fixed. As far as i know he has a mild cam, longtube headers, O/R H-pipe and some suspension work and fat *** cobra rims! Well, it all started two days ago when i was heading off base to go home and he jumps in front of me from a side road!! Well, i got a chill down my spine cause i knew what was gonna happen as soon as we got out that gate! Well we head out the gate too the stop sign and he turns right and guns it loud as hell and fish tallin!! Well me being an auto, i slam it in first, turn off ASR and slam it around the corner and fish tail around the corner to follow!! Well he is shifting gears and looking at me in the rearview and smileing and i just real this guy in fast as hell!! He yells at me when i slow down that his tranny is messed up also and he wants to go again anyway, so i let him nail it first and he gets about a car length and a half and i slam the peddle and pass him once again!! Well, thats it cause from thier we waved and split up!! In his defense, im sure he wasent bullshitting to hard about his problems cause he is a really cool guy and knows more than me about cars. With that being said, i still chalk it up as a win and another Cobra bitting the dust!!

Are the '95 Cobras the 5.0??? With just a mild cam and a few bolt-ons, even if his timing was dead on, I think you should take him....Would be close I'm sure. I bet that thing sounded pretty nasty with the cam, LTs, and OR/H

Good kill!!

I think it is a 5.0, and let me say that that thing sounds nasty!!! And as far as pickin on the little ones, its the older cobras and not the late model(pre-terminators) That have given me the most trouble, cause u never know what is under that hood!! If it makes u feel any better, one other cobra i have handeled, although not as easily was a full-exhaust 99 cobra from a 20 or os roll, and the top and windows were up for that race!!

I'm pretty sure the 94's were the last ones with 5.0's, my buddy has 2 of em and he said that the 5.0 only came in 1 year of that bodystyle.
Nice kill, race him again when he fixes it, should be a good one.

yeah, i know the excuses thing, cause on the last pass before we split he yelled about needing his timeing fixed again and i said with a cocky smile, " Ya Need Somthin!!" As far as what engine he had, not sure, dont quote me, i never asked him and never looked under his hood, so i may be very wrong!
