Default Boredom results in kill

Last night, I was bored on the way to picking up my g/f from work. It was about 10:15, and I was cruisin along listening to my music. For any Chicago suburb people, I was going down River Road and I got stopped at the red light. I was in the left turn lane waiting to turn onto Belmont when a white civic(2 door 92-96 body style) with a big *** wing and body kit, rims, and a fart can pulls up next to me in the second left turning lane. The light turns green and this guy floors it around the turn (its pretty wide). I come up next to him, look and laugh a little. He looks at me, nods his had and we slow to about 30. I let him give the three honks and we were off. Floored it up to about 75 before I shut down due to traffic and a red light coming up. At that point he was just over a car length behind me. He pulled up next to me at the light laughing. I roll down my window. He told me the motor was the stock 1.6 with 106hp. The only performance upgrade he had was exhaust. Cool guy I guess, but then I had to turn right and we went our separate ways.

cliffnotes...
white civic floors off left turning lane.
I catch up
3 honks
30-75 roll
I win by a car length...

they changed the body style in 96.

good kill though its always fun racing big SUVs i once raced an old cargo van in an H2 90 on the main streets was pretty scary and the guy was nuts he did a burnout at the next stoplight. i guess to save some face because i stomped him

Nice, racing in trucks is fun...The torque snaps you back just as strong as a sports car until you look at the speedo and realize you are only going 40...my bad on the civic year, 92-95...
