So im driving home on 294 west towards home, with my three drunken friends, and pulling off my exit. I make the left turn onto harms road, and i see behind me a seemingly "performance" car get sideways behind me and catch up. It's a black supra turbo. It looked 100% stock, from what i know of the car. Exhaust, tires, etc. looked stock. So he hits it instantly. I drop t into 2nd at about 34, and we take off, and were DEAD even. I was aproaching my turn, but needed some more. So i followed him, and we went at it again. I think he was auto cause i didnt hear any shifting. I'm in 2nd gear at about 3 thousand, and we take off simultaneously. We're dead even through second and i shifted into third and pulled like 1/8 of a car on him. After the race, he gave me a solid thumbs up, and seeing as the race was just what i needed tonight, i returned the friendly gesture. Best race i have had. I' completely stock, and had 3 people in the car, he seemed 100% stock and was alone. Great race overall, and I ****** love my LS1. It's absolutely incredible.

Sweet run.
Those Supra's can be deadly from a roll.
Never had the chance to come up against one fron a dig but my one time on the freeway when I was bone stock, he was edging me out. I was impressed.

stock supra's are a myth, they don't actually exist

like sad above average from a dig, but killer from a roll. the top end is insane. BPU supras are something to be recken with, especially on the highway.

nice kill...i have ran across one with exhaust and we went from 56-60 ...and i jumped him 2 cars and be the end of 4th had him by 3(im NOT stock however)...i was surprised just for the simple fact that finding a STOCK supra is about as rare as findin a stock terminator...he gave me a thumbs up and i got off the exit

Awesome runs! I think they dyno around 285 (give or take with trans option) so that puts them damn close to a stock LS1. I bet there would be a bunch winning, just like there would be a bunch losing.

nice kill with all the people in your car. i like to think my car is a pretty nasty highway car, but i guess i picked on the wrong supra 1 night. he INSTANTLY pulled 2-3 cars from a 50 roll. little did i know that it was a 650hp big turbo one

I outran a single turbo supra by like a bumper from 40-150. I was on the spray and I think everyone was saying he put down like 550hp. I was real suprised.

A stock Supra and a stock LS1 car is a dead even race with equal drivers in the 1/4 and from a roll.

Bingo. Stock Supras/LS1s/Cobras are the exception nowadays vs. the rule. Good run though the supras even on stock twins are pretty nasty from a roll.

very true. but an average bolt on ( and when i say bolt on , i mean bolt on..not cams, head work ect..) really wakes the supra up. standard bpu supras push 400-450 rwhp on 14 year old technology that was pretty much the bar until them damn 03 cobras came out

damn, i love pullin up next to supra's. its like a mystery box, you dont know if it has 300 hp or 700 hp. either way, its always fun.

Mine stock, YAY and Im gona mod it but gonna keep records of all the modifications and spare parts of the parts that I will no longer need, so one day when the last of the F bodies are considered rare because no one else makes 150hp and above cars due to hybrid motors I can take my LS1 and restore it back to stock and sell it for 100,000 dollars...............lol...........I have a wild imagination, but I am keeping all of the stock parts and stocking up on back ups. I need to find a motor though, any suggestions on were to find one besides Ebay...so one day I can have a restored LS1..lol
