Ok, im sorry if this is in the wrong section, so mods can feel free to move to the appropriate post...

I have an extremely cocky friend with an 05 WRX with an upgraded turbo, exhaust, etc and says he gets 400awhp with 103 octane race gas. A couple of other friends of mine says he beat a new ZO6 from a roll and instantly i give them this shocked look on my face and am like theres no way in hell and i just dont believe it ... But they are convinced that its true. Someone please back me up on this and give me some examples? Thanks.

Ok... about the trap thing. They said he trapped 125 w/o a launch... im beginning to think this guy is just full of crap, so what does the zo6 trap? Isnt it not too much more than that.

Yea no way in hell man..When my 99 Viper was 100% bone stock putting down 410 rwhp and 465 rwt I raced a 428 awhp pump gas EVO..

From 70 mph to 135 mph He ended up with a 1-2 car lead when we shut down...

Now imagine my same race only....

-I have 40 more rwhp
-My car weighs 200 pounds less
-I have 3.42 gears instead of 3.07
-My coeficient drag is .32 instead of .55
-Instead of my car running 12.0 at 120 it can run 11.4 at 127
-the Evo is a STI with 400 awhp instead of 428 awhp like the Evo had


imagine all those things and see the several bus lengths that a bonne stock 127 mph C6Z06 would put on a 118 mph trapping 400 awhp STI..

Now from a dead stop it would be a close race in the 1/4 mile. but on a roll no chance in hell

He's full of it. First off 400whp in a regular WRX is alot of power. Even if he did have that much he would still only be trapping 120-121, well below most C6 ZO6's.

My best trap stock was 127 and the norm seems to be 124 to 126. I'm in VA also, so tell your friend I will run him and we can get it on vid.

Ok guys, thanks for the info. Ya he was in my buddy's wrx and we went to a shop together (me drivin my formula and him in the wrx) and he kept sayin he could rape me soo easily till he saw me go all out from a 20mph roll and my buddies just said he sat there and didnt say anythin more after that, lol. I think he'll take me in the end, but i dont really care right now cause i have 3 bolt ons... he has upgraded turbo and much more done to it. Soon ill have duals, cam, heads, intake, then next year ill have a twin turbo kit so then ill just make him look stupid, lol.

OR a claimed 400whp car that weighs about the same... AWD quicker launch... 50rwhp more... is the winner!
