mach1 vs 03 cobra

mach1 vs 03 cobra well i finally figured out that i was experiancing spark blow out so i changed plugs and put a .38 gap in there. well a guy that works in my squadron has an 03 mach1 with a cai,raised shaker, and a catback, also an m5. vrs my cobra with a 2.8, cai, and a catback.
First race was from a 40 roll; three honks and i instantly jump 2 cars on him and by 110 had probably 10-12 lenghts on him. 2nd race from a 40 roll and pretty much the same results only i took it up to 130 and put 2-3 more lengths on him than the previous. 3rd and final we went from a dig. lined up three honks and he puts about 3 cars on me from the launch thanks too wheel hop/ spin i hit 40 grabbed second got traction and stopped his pull, now about 2 cars back and pulling hard by the end of 2nd he was at my door, i hit 3rd and start walking let off in 4th at 140 a good 6 cars out and still pulling. that was my excitement for the night.

Yeah, but put a blower on the mach...LOL...sorry, I just had too.
Seriously..sounds like a good time, and I am not surprised at all. The mach is probably !280-290 RWHP, and your Cobra is what?...430 RWHP?..........sounds like fun....

Yes, the mach is a low 13 second car...but the cobra, is probably a high 11 second car (track/driver pending of course).

Yeah! Imagine if Ford had the ***** to put a blower on the Mach1

Did the guy with the Mach1 expect to win, or was he just having fun?
I'll have to look at some "raised shaker" pics...I've never heard of that.

he knew he was going to lose just not that bad. and if my cobra only dynos 430 it will be sold it should be 445-460ish compared to all the other 2.8s out there most average 450.

Jester - 430 was a 'safe' guess. Most that are 450-460 are also running a midpipe that open up the breathing even more. But, as well all know, cars, dynos, and tunes vary. Nice terminator.

if ford were to be stupid enough to put the cobra blower on the machs 11:0 compression engine it would blow all to hell.they are blowers desined for the mach but only 3-5 psi.this was not even a race.the same car with 150 more ponies.not a kill.i thought this was a lsx forumif i wanted to here mustang races id go to the corral or some other mustang forum

It is obvious you don't know Mustangs so quit pretending now what your talking about. Actually our cars have 10.1 compression and our blocks are good up to 10 lbs boost with a conservative tune. 8 lbs is the average boost ran on a stock mach block.

Grow up man, its a car enthusiast site, not an LSX only site. In addition, i love to hear about ANY fast car, So before you state any more closed minded opinions, please think first. haha

Prochargers SC for the Mach are running a minimum 8 lbs and 10 lbs for the bigger unit.
I am not going to argue with someone that is so far off the mark its not even funny. It makes me feel sorry for your mother when I read your responses. I don't know much about the LS1, therefore I don't pretend to be an expert on the subject. I guess your need to fit in overshadows your actual knowledge of the subject.
