C6 Z06 vs. 997 TT video A guy with a C6 Z06 I know raced a 997 TT and sent me a video with the outcome. I guess this is what happens when a 120 mph trapping car races a 125 mph trapping car..

Notice how much quicker the Z06 jumped out in the first race than the second race. In the first race, the Z06 was in first gear. In the second race, it was in 2nd gear instead at 35 mph. BIG difference.
I hope to god they come out with a dr's for this car in a 19". Car is very explosive from a 1st gear roll given traction.

sweet video, but the commentary wasn't good at all. sounded like a southern hick who thinks he's cool... haha. well, at least the car is cool.

^The new turbos are variable vein. Basicly, they are decently big for top end, yet the adjustabe by boost turbine housing creates great spoolup even at low revs. It directs the exhaust energy at precisely the right place on the turbine wheel for a given rpm/boost.
Awesome cars, pretty much what I would expect after reading the comparos all over the press. Something to be said for twice the displacement at half the cost.
Frankly though neither car really launched all that hard.

nice kill, chalk another up for the Z but that guy was a little cocky, all he needs to do is run into the right person, the Z is awsome but not unbeatable. Pretty decent quality for a night vid.

True, but anything can be beaten by a modified car.
He!! . . . we could make a Pinto into an 8 sec. car with enough money
STOCK VS. STOCK the C6 ZO6 has less than a couple handfulls of production cars in the past few years that are superior to it in acceleration either straight-line or around a track eg. $1.6Million Veyron, Zonda S, CCX, Enzo, CGT, SLR, maybe a 65AMG . . . that's not a long list. Most of those cars are above $500K.
Most exotics get butt-raped by the ZO6 stock for stock.
If I were into the modern Corvette body-style, I'd definitely buy one without hesitation
