Default Anyone raced a Jeep srt-8?

Just wondering I work with a guy who ordered one and he is talking the usual crap. I was wondering how fast they really are.

Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8's snarling big-block 6.1-liter HEMI® V8 engine puts 420 horsepower to the pavement through an exclusive electronic full-time four-wheel-drive system. The result?

Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the fastest SUV (0-60mph) in its class.†
Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the most powerful SUV built in America.‡
Grand Cherokee SRT8 accelerates from 0-60 mph in less time than Porsche Cayenne Turbo.§
Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the fastest SUV (0-60mph) under $100,000.

So are they actually 420 to the wheels? If 420 if its flywheel ill be suing for false advertisement. The website says 420 to the pavement.

lol^, I think they're fast for an suv 0-60 under 5 i think. My dad has the jeep with the 5.7 hemi and that thing pulls hard for a truck, the front tires chirp when you stomp it from a stop. So i could imagine that one being a quick ride. an ls1 would probably walk away after 60 being that thing is a pig.

it weighs 4800 lbs. It has 420hp at the flywheel stock. Ive been researching this too as i work at a jeep dealership and the guy thats head of finance, has one, and wants to race. They are no joke but im pretty sure an ls1 can take it. it might be close but we'll see i guess. let me know how that goes if you do race. ill do the same.

Ohh the awd definitely helps. The srt-8 chargers/300 C's are rated the same hp and they are 800-900lbs lighter than the srt jeep and run similar 1/4 times
