Default LS1 vs LS1, LT1, Duramax and a 4.6 GT

SO i got my car my senior year of high school....10,800 drive out Z28...loved the car.....only one in town for about a year..then a buddy of mine bought a 98 SS and then another bought a 97 Z28 with a built motor...needless to say we started a little club....one night when we were all in town we went down to the local 1/4 to play around...i expected them both to pull me hard but after 3 races (2 against the Z and one against the SS) and comin out on top everytime they gave up for the night...later a heavily modded duratrash..lol...lined up and jumped me by about 3 outta the hole but i sucked him up by the 3/4 mark....and im not gonna even talk about the GT cuz he was gone before we were flagged off...lol...fun night

Ran down LS1's? Maybe from a dig with the gear, but no way your GT could stay next to an LS1 up top with those mods...Your looking at about 245Rwhp with those mods. (on a good day) I don't think your running down 300+Rwhp LS1's...Not trying to start an argument, but it takes quite a bit for a 99-04 GT to get that top end power...

I think he was probably talking about from a dig... and a bolt-on/geared 99-04 GT 5spd will give an LS1 a run for the money from a dig, for sure.
